I disagree. He's projected as a ROR heavy.
- TheSabresTaco

Dylan Cozens is one of the most Explosive , Fast Players in the Draft. I'm not insinuating you think otherwise, but most completely underestimate Cozen's Speed!

That’s the goal a Ryan Kessler type no ? Will see what he becomes in 3-4 years he just needs to work hard and get rid of his RNH body but watching that transformation is going to be exciting
- gerbe75pts

Player A: 5'7", 163, room for another 15 lbs
Player B: 6'3", 181, room for another 30-40 lbs

Player A is perfect
Player B needs years of body refinement

Last summer cozens was even ranked the 2nd best prospect going into the season.

It went Hughes. Cozens kakko

So cozens is still a high end talent.

I think cozens is Eichel lite. Not as talented but has A great shot, great speed, excellent skater, and loves offensive zone entries.

At career 2C. That is fine.

- Sabretooth9

Eichel lite ? This eichel we’re seeing now is eichel lite he hasn’t even hit his true Potential yet

I'll specify. A ROR type player, but better and faster. Hence, the "heavy". I don't really know where the Kesler projections come in, he's not that physical. Maybe he will be. He's maybe closer to a faster Jeff Carter than anything.

He just needs to slow down the game and process the game better and I would agree maybe someday he would have Ryan O’Reilly’s intelligence

How does an elite top 4 ranked prospect not think the game fast enough. Because that's absolutely false.

Yes Eichel lite

Both are:

Good skaters
Good shot
Fast explosive strides
Love zone entries

Eichel obviously is more talented. But cozens has some of the same qualities as Eichel

last time he doesn’t have a very good hockey sense in the game

How did grigorenko and Kassian go in the first round ? You know these highly ranked prospects

If you can’t slow down the game and process you won’t Reach that next level

I can’t do a comparison like jack when he hasn’t even reached his highest level yet
And he doesn’t have a hockey IQ like jack

Cozen calling is Ryan Kessler if he hits that. Level will see

He plays a mature two-way game, is extremely competitive, and possesses subtly high-end hockey sense that allows him to impact the game, EPrinkside.com 2019
His skating is his best weapon. He can dart up and down the ice at lightning speed, and plays with that pace with the puck on his stick, EPrinkside.com 2019
Away from the play, he’s a competitive kid who is willing to finish his checks and use his frame effectively, Hockeyprospect.com 2019
His has a deadly shot with a quick release and can be a dual threat, Future Considerations 2019
He is a gifted playmaker with great vision, able to make simple plays and complex ones with the same degree of success, McKeen's Hockey 2019

SCOUTING REPORT
Is defensively responsible and a capable two-way forward. Scores big goals and does whatever his team needs to win. Has leadership and agitating qualities. Can play both center and wing equally well. Is lacking in offensive consistency, so he must start avoiding prolonged scoring slumps.

Why can't you cheer for C. Caufield WITHOUT bashing players selected before him?

Don't you think its premature to evaluate these kids before they play a single game at NHL level?

Get a Grip

Who is bashing a prospect ? I can’t have a opinion i never called him a bust said he could end up like Brandon Dubinsky

He obviously has a good head on his shoulders and has a Warrior attitude
Will see if he brings it .

And I don’t get anybody’s logic saying Patrick Laine is terrible when he scores 30 goes on a bad year and will most likely have 40 to 50 goals next year

Is the goal not to score goals and win ?

- gerbe75pts

Literally not a single person has said he’s terrible, what has been said is he a one dementional goal scorer that needs to work on the other facets of hockey to improve his overall game, which is true.
