At the time everyone had him 3rd overall so let’s not go that route ..
And if we’re doing the Keller thing .. who was the one that said he was going top ten and “someday “ said I was high - gerbe75pts
I have always enjoyed your takes, but it just seems you dump on Cozens without reason other than the Sabres picked him 7th OA instead of Cole Muffler
I get your love for the mighty midget but I've had my share of Ennis, Gerbe, etc., not that they can't be great, but it really is more risky at that size. With what the Sabres have build so far, its difficult to hear that Cozens was the "risky" pick. He really isn't on any measurable level. I wouldn't call him a safe pick either as his Size, Speed & Shot are considered top Ten by all who scouted him. Considering how much J. Botts loves to draft Canadian players, lol, I'm not sure he was about to reach on this player. He truly does check all the boxes, which in my humble opinion is exactly the opposite of the Nylander selection was.
Can we all hope Cole Muffler is really good without bagging on Cozens ? I think we can . |

How about the following
NHL.com
-Lepage -3 OA Cozens 84 points (34 goals, 50 assists) in 58 games and is one of the fastest and most threatening forwards in the 2019 draft class.
-Kimelman --4 OA Cozens: An outstanding skater for his size, he could fill the Avalanche's hole at second-line center as soon as next season.
BleacherReport
5 OA Dylan Cozens, C/W, Lethbridge Hurricanes (WHL)
TSN
8 OA Dylan Cozens
I could continue but you get the point, we can all cherry pick - MEBSabresFAN
Hey, I like the pick. Because of his size, he likely plays in the NHL before Zegs, so that’s fun. That part of the draft was very closely ranked. I think it’s going to be fun to see how they all turn out.
Im not really tribalist with favored/unflavored players. I pick on Tage but that guy could turn into something. He’s got size and a shot. I’d rather not have Okposo, but he could have a year and score 15 or more and that’s be helpful. |

Seeing as Cole Muffler is with the Habs, I hope he’s terrible. |

we'd be lucky if he did one buyout as he really doesn't like them...he should make an exception for Sobotka...Hunwick he can waive, will be very useful in rochester - Michael Pachla
