Since your waiting for "one" player who can score like that.......

here you are....

1) Caufield’s goal was still better

2) beauty goal by Jack, shows off his talent...
but comparing Caufield’s goal to another great goal by a great player does NOT make me want Caufield less

***anyone have any highlights of Cozens scoring some sweet goals?

There is this thing called YouTube. It’s amazing you should check it out sometime. There is a video that shows all 44 goals he scored this year in league and international play. There are Ivan Hlinka highlights, as well as the most recent U18 highlights.

Cock, I guess that's what I get for not opening the link and relying on the blurb on Google:

"Jun 18, 2019 - C Trevor Zegras, USNTDP: Zegras is a dazzling, creative playmaker ... torn Achilles is enough to bump him far down this loaded draft class."

I liked it. It has a lot of humor, and a lot of "gross".

It's an interesting, dark twist to the Super-hero world. It kind of takes X-Men's Magneto's "we're mutants and we're supreme" to a an extreme and corrupt max, and most of the super heroes themselves are clearly knock-offs from the popular Marvel/DC ones. Supposedly, it's that way in the comics (which I never knew existed). I could see a die-hard Marvel and/or DC fan being turned off by it due to a lack of originality in the characters, but I think most would be able to get past it.

I thought Karl Urban was great in it.

Someone needs to make a new damn Dredd movie or show. The people demand more of Karl Urban as judge Dredd

I'm a big Marvel fan, but I think if you go into the show knowing what it's supposed to be, and look past the knockoff characters and just enjoy the story itself, it sounds like it could be a lot of fun. You really don't get a lot of corrupt superhero stuff, especially in a series.

So making a mock forward lineup, strictly as a depth chart

Skinner-Eichel-Reinhart
Johansson-Mitts-Sheary
Vesey-Erod-Okposo
Girgs-Larry

I understand line combos are fluid, but is there a spot for Olofsson here? I understand that seems silly at first blush when you see Sheary playing 2RW

Would a coach really go with a rookie on Mittelstadt's wing though?

this is a lineup that i guess could be called reasonable:

Skinner-Eichel-Johansson
Vesey-Mitts-Reinhart
Olofsson-Erod-Okposo
Girgensons-Larsson-Sheary

Today, there's 13F, 9D, 2G. All 24 are fulltime NHL skaters. Scott Wilson and Matt Hunwick were the only two to spend time down there, where Hunwicks was a conditioning stint and Wilson had to wait for a roster spot to free up.

Team won't carry 9 D. One needs to go. Then you still have 13 F's, with Sobotka Girgensons Larsson and Wilson taking up physical space. You have Pilut and Jokiharju pounding on the door, even if Pilut isn't totally ready and in shape until November. And even then, you have Risto, Bogo, Miller, Montour and Nelson for the right side. You need to sit two of them on any given night. Even if you want to take one of them and throw them on the other side, you have Dahlin, Scandella, McCabe and Hunwick. Include Pilut and Joker, you've got 6 and 5. We've got a big log jam here, any way you slice it. And that's just the defense.

Sobotka is going to be loaned to a team in Europe. They will get cap relief, albeit limited, and they won't have to hold dead cap space after this year, which is something that Botterill supposedly hates. He already did it with Moulson once. Wilson is going to Rochester. There will be another forward added to this roster before the season opener.

The other problem with all those d is that the coach will feel pressure to rotate them in and out of the lineup, so no one gets on a roll. I can imagine a scenario where if everyone is healthy, Risto could be scratched occasionally, which is no bueno on many fronts

Risto and Sheary for a natural RW to play in the top-6 would make sense to me

We have enough pipeline to trade an actual, useful NHL player. I don't think I could be convinced that this lineup should be taken into the season, even with the unloading of Sobotka and Hunwick or whatever.

That conversation started before the 2017 TDL. Funny how things circle around.

He'll have a nice role there where he can blend in and play favorable minutes.
