I think it shows how important the C position is in the NHL. Now having two of the top 5 players in the league at the time in Crosby and Malkin definitely helps that but guys like Sheary, Dupuis, Hornqvist, Kunitz were mainstays in the Penguins top 6 at various points.

Let's put an unproven kid on Eichels wing and move our 9mil guy to the 3rd line then. That makes perfect sense. Oloffson has some talent but there is now way in hell he is on the first line. Maybe 2nd, highest probability is 3rd line. Vesey can play LW or RW so they might pair them up on the 3rd

What did anyone give DeBrincat or Kellers etc., you keep cherry picking players who did not meet their pre-draft expectations. Why bring up Grigorenko? He is the Poster boy for the "Russian" factor, he still plays professional hockey at a high end but couldn't make the transition to NA hockey, Kassian is still an NHL forward but he was picked to be a Lucic light, and Gus has been abused, used, and forced into a defensive role. You can pick three players from any year from any prognosticator and make same claims.
