Idk how u get Matthews & Eichel ahead of Point & Stamkos?
- jdfitz77

Let's say Buffalo offer sheets Point and wins (i.e. only draft picks given up, no other assets). Does he outscore Eichel on this team, which is not anywhere near as deep as Tampa?

you are not wrong sir

I'd go Bergeron 1
tavares 2
matthews 3
barkov 4
flip a coin for point and stamkos for 5th

I have eichel 7th in the division

- homiedclown

Within 2 years all of them drop off and Eichel hasn't peaked yet. And stamkos is not a full time center

I love Pommer but I think his time is done here, there are way too many bodies, he could be a mid season add though if he stays in shape

Sheary moves to 3rd line RW

Vesey Erod Sheary
Girgensons Larsson Okposo
Wilson as the extra

If used roughly the same,
both with quality linemates...
I’d say it’s close

And they aren’t close defensively

We'll see how many more years Marner makes Tavares look elite. His skating will fall off a cliff in the next 2-3 years. They'll be stuck with an $11m boat anchor

Agreed (if things go well)

That’s why i was trying to calm u down in Late June when u were so upset

But...
Mitts has to take a step forward so we have legit secondary scoring
And the defense has to come together to help our goalies out more

I think we will still look like a very young, and at times inconsistent team
But with the talent that we can finally see us going in the right direction

Botts hasn’t been 100%
But i do think he’s building something
And i approve of the overall job so far

That could definitely end up biting them the last few years

Tavares is smart & good enough that he could remain a ppg player though too

Guess we will have to see

I guess I’ll go...Derek Plante.

And is it also the Sabres only game 7 win?

Late.

You are correct, but thank you on the Hockey Trivia, I didn't know that was our only Game 7 win.

I was lucky to be in attendance.

Correction, I believe J.P. Dumont won a game 7 for us too?

Our d should be better

At this point, the season rests on how many chin ups our 2C can do

If he can be a reasonable 2C, we'll be fine. Our RWs still suck though

Did you relate to 'Danger'? Reminds me of you a bit, heart is in the right place but has no filter and challenges people out of his class.

No. Derek Plante had the winning goal in the only game 7 win in Sabres history

Dumont scored the OT winner in Game 3 against Ottawa in '06

Most memorable goal I saw was in the old Aud. Game 6. 1994. 4 overtimes vs. New Jersey. Dave Hannan.

I've never seen a better performance in person than Hasek that night.

Second was game 1, 2006, 2OT vs. Flyers. I'll never forget the Brian Campbell hit and the roar in the building.

We all know the best Sabres game we've seen either in person or likely on TV.
