Most memorable goal I saw was in the old Aud. Game 6. 1994. 4 overtimes vs. New Jersey. Dave Hannan.
I've never seen a better performance in person than Hasek that night.
Second was game 1, 2006, 2OT vs. Flyers. I'll never forget the Brian Campbell hit and the roar in the building.
We all know the best Sabres game we've seen either in person or likely on TV. - kingcong39
Jelly of that.
Best one I saw was the beat down of the Kings that year or the next. 10-0 or 10-1
It was absurd |

Drury to send it to overtime against the Rags with 0:07, and then max with the winner.

When it comes to SPORTS , its supposed to be Entertainment. We get heated here and nobody wants the bad times , but the Good Times are Soooo much better when you stick with your team through the Bad. The "Mike Schoop's" of the World will only piss in your cereal if you have optimism, but without optimism I really don't know why any would want to follow it. It's fine to be critical, but dwelling on the past failures without enjoying the Sport is sad. Reminds of a famous philosophy I take to heart.

Idk how u get Matthews & Eichel ahead of Point & Stamkos? - jdfitz77
Eichel would of finished 2nd in the league in points if he played on a line with Kucherov and on a PP featuring Kuch, Stammer, Hedman.
I think Stammer has fallen off a bit tbh. Still an elite player but definitely not the player he once was. |
|

Let's say Buffalo offer sheets Point and wins (i.e. only draft picks given up, no other assets). Does he outscore Eichel on this team, which is not anywhere near as deep as Tampa? - buffalofan19
Absolutely not. Eichel had 50+ assists and was top 5 in SOG and shot attempts for most of this past season. I think he’s primed to explode.
The Sabres’ problem is that in a league where you need 3 scoring lines and a minimum of 2 superstars we had essentially one guy carrying a team. No disrespect to Skinner or Reinhart, but if we want to be cup contenders we need at least one more star forward or to hope that Mitts and Cozens become at minimum on par or better then those two to have a fighting chance. |

I've been in attendance for a couple playoff blowout wins, both against Philly, 8-2 in 06 after which Lindy and Hitch had their little war of words, and 8-0 in 01. And both times the Flyers acted like bumholes after the game was lost, which was midway through the first in both cases.
But the most memorable was the Ottawa brawl game in 07.

Stamkos has 45goals & 98points
We must have very different definitions of “fallen off”
He’s still crazy good
And sure, Eichel probably tops 100pts if he was on Tampa
But Point is still significantly better defensively |

I don’t think we have seen the best of Jack yet, I think we’ve seen 75% of what he can be but I feel there is more to come offensively and defensively as he continues to mature and round out his game.
Stammer hasn’t fallen off, but it will be tough to replicate having another 19 PPG and 40 PPP next season. |

I think we are talking apples & oranges here
While Jack has all the talent of these guys,
he’s just not there yet as a player
I do think he will get there
And i do think he’s a heck of a player already
These other guys are just a slight notch above... at the moment |
