Ok, capfriendly said buyout window opens in 3 days and then open for 48 hours.

Player must be over $3.455m and was on the team before trading deadline.

Pretty cool! When I was a much younger bassist I once played a bass "solo" of the Sabre Dance while the guitar player had to fix a broken string at Broadway Joe's. I played the main low rumble (just a low A) through a delay, hit sample and hold, then riffed the melody up high....then switched to D. Just for a minute or so but was fun as heck and some folks even liked it.

Well, it kind of actually was. After I saw you initial post I checked Twitter...most people post the actual Twitter link, but ok...YOU apparently subscribe to another protocol, whatever.
Not sure of our post times, because I couldn't care less, but if your little brain needs the confirmation that you were right to post such an idiotic comment, bravo for you!
Yeehaw!!!

But why be such a Richard? Are you the almighty knower of all data anyway?

(frank) off dude....but take that with 3 Martini's in, lol!
Really, whatever
:thumbs
You can have the win as piss poor as it was, lol!

- IonSabres

Yeah, the Gerbe protocol. Mother(frank)er never posts links.

Please.

Jeremy white had a quote about Nathan Peterman being on the roster. "He's not playing, but as long as hes on the roster, the possibility exists. Dont threaten me with Nathan peterman"

Everyone is certain that sobotka will be waived, which, I doubt he will because coaches love Sobotka kinds. Dont threaten me with Sobotka. Buy him out

what do you mean coaches love his type of player?
I’m genuinely asking because what could a coach possibly see in Sobotka?

Vets who are responsible defensively. When you're bad and don't want to be embarrassed, coaches play guys like him over higher risk guys, who are going to make glaring mistakes occasionally.

Veteran "defensive" forwards.

I'm not defending him. I don't like him. But coaches seem to fall for that kind of shtick

Difference is we’ve haven’t had anything behind these types of players for years

If Rusto or Asplund can be obviously better than Sobotka he will get waived

I can't believe people are bowing so hard to Skinner at the expense of Laine. Skinner is barely in Laine's league. On the Athletic this year one of their draft experts listed the top draft picks in the last 5 years and Laine was #2 behind McDavid and a few spots ahead of Eichel. Sbroads is one of the worst talent evaluators on this site so to take in his "incites" with wide eyes and interest is funny. Mark my words Skinner will not hit 40 goals again but Laine sure will and then some, and he'll pass the puck a few times too all while finally being able to drink legally in US cities.

In a cap era, they shouldn’t have to be better, only “approximately the same”

Oh I agree 100%. But the way JB wants guys to get some AHL seasoning, Asplund has done that, and should at least compete for a spot.

Our depth has been so bad for so long

Anze Kopitar was 7th with 60 pts (22&38)
Patrick Kane was 14th with 110 pts (44&66)
Explain this
Marner was in your 54 with 94 pts

This seems like a list that one guy came up with. And he's not very bright.

Edit: Not too mention the article is BEFORE the 2018-2019 season. Maybe find this year's when they post it.

I wasnt cherry picking, check out other lists.

Laine is ranked higher in every category and also fantasy lists.

Do a little research , find me a list where skinner is %1000 better than skinner

Over the past 3 seasons - individual scoring chances created

Jeff Skinner is 3rd to McDavid and Matthews with 651

Laine is ........84th in that time span, or low end 1st line level

Jeff Skinner is 5th among forwards in takeaways in that time span

Laine is........161st

Jeff Skinner is 5th in penalties drawn over the past 3 seasons

Laine is.....154th

People just don’t realize how good Jeff Skinner is. It’s really not surprising he scored 40 goals this year

I have nothing against Laine.

But this isn’t a hot take that he’s really bad away from shooting the puck

And like I said I’m sure he’s gonna get better

You are comparing and 18, 19, 20 year old with a 24, 25, 26 year old who through your numbers has a tough time finishing with all those chances while the 18, 19-year-old found the back of the net with fewer chances. Evander Kane shot the puck a lot too.

You brought up some really great statistics, but goal scoring wins games. That's the #1 statistic.

They both bring this too the table.

I haven't found 1 Google search list that has skinner ahead of laine in rankings. Give it a try.

Fantasy hockey lists also strongly favor laine

0 for 9 for the playoffs isnt a plus for skins either
3 for 3 for laine

I love skinner, hope he continues to score 40.

If I were to bet, I would be all in on laine scoring more goals then skinner next year

And I’d agree, but when one guy is elite in a lot of areas that drive offense and scoring chances, and is a way better forechecker, I’ll take Skinner

Buying him out or waiving him doesn't help the team. He needs to be traded outright, unless his BO or waive comes in conjunction with, say, Scandella being traded.
