You aren't allowed to be excited about your teams prospects might offend other teams fans apparently. I guess when your team has nothing coming in the pipeline it's pure envy.

Or they have young stars in the NHL already proving themselves as stars?
Just maybe.

I think Caufield will be a very good NHL player. But it's ignorant to compare him to Laine right now. - gergeswillems
That's cause the Jets are envious. Obviously. How else do you justify saying a guy with 110 nhl goals in 3 seasons being worth much.
I mean if family guy taught us anything, a boats a boat. But the mystery box could be anything. It could even be a boat. |

I hope this is just you being a homer, and you’re not really this dumb. I suspect it’s a bit of both
If you can’t see that Laine is exponentially more valuable than Domi, I don’t know what to tell you
This trade will never happen. But if the Habs somehow got Laine for a package including Domi, a-level prospects and picks, it would be a steal
Domi isn’t very good - AxlRose91
Another Leaf fan desperately hoping the Habs get rid of Domi. This is an epidemic. |

I'm actually hoping they dont get Laine. But you're adorable making up your own narratives out of an inferiority complex.
But yes, those Leaf fans. So nervous that Matthew's and Tavares cant match up with Domi and Dandenault lol. |

I remember Mathieu Dandenault. Could skate like the wind but not much else. Bowman converted him from a winger to a defenseman. Paired with Steve Duchene on the Red Wings third D pair on the 2002 Cup run. ☺ |

There's nothing wrong with being excited about your team's prospects. But you go to extremes. You act like the Habs are the only team in the NHL with good prospects. They aren't.
You act like the Habs are the best team in the NHL with the most perfect players on its roster. They're not. You're an uninformed, sensitive, attention seeking troll who's easily triggered. 😂 |

Why would any Leaf fan care about Max Domi? I think they're quite happy with the forwards they have. Domi is a good player. Not the best player in the NHL like you seem to think he is. 😂 |

Nah. Leafs didn't win the Cup last year. Blow it up! Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Kapanen, Johnsson, Rielly are all over the hill! Snakevares is ancient! 😂 |

Absolutely, but nothing wrong with not going big on FAs and waiting a year or two for players to develop. It all depends on present state of team and where they are at competitive wise
Laine is a proven goal scorer, and more valuable them Domi, but I could see MTL not wanting to include Domi in package for him. |

Of course they don't. They also think that the deal should involve Danault ++ as long as the pluses are not starters, top prospects, or first round picks. |

pretty sneaky that the leafs are using LTIR to circumvent the salary cap to keep those guys. but hey, if you are that desperate to win, youll do anything, even exploit the grey zones of the cba. That said, if they dont win, and i doubt very much the leafs will win in the next few years, it will make for some even better fodder for the trolls and interweb. Ill stick with the habs and their roster. Its looking pretty good the next few years.
what i do find pretty funny is all the pundits all the tv stations in ontario had the leafs winning the cup with that 3 headed monster down the middle, only to get bounced. hilarious how all those "experts" revealed themselves to be just some long, old, butt hurt leafs fans. Just praying for a win, but they forgot it takes defence as well. No amount of makeup was goingto cover that tire fire of a back end. Not to mention the year b4 anderson saved them from complete embarrassment. cool story. |

nothing bitter actually. i do like lots of the leafs makeup. what is unfortunate is the homerism on all the "supposed sports networks" the habs were garbage relying on price, but funny enough when the leafs doit, not a word. i'd just like some un-biased analysis. The leafs finnished with 2 more wins this year then habs, and they are cup favoiortes... the habs are barely going to make the playoffs. said from the same group of people who called a leafs cup victory last year. Are they just that hoepful or is the narrative to stroke a very fragile leaf fan base? What do they base that on? especially after the poop show of last years predictions.
Anyways, im hopeful the leafs do well at some point, and maybe we will get to see a solid leafs habs first round one day. But what the habs have done from one year to another is pretty spectacular. The leafs are last years favorits and then do all those trades, and are again the favorites... i dunno b. I wont say the habs are cup favorites but i am willing to bet, in a 7 game series they would take it to the leafs... |

last, the cba circumvention is pretty balsey. It could blow up in their face. I also hate the fact they will change this exploit after only 2 teams get away with it... leafs and sens. One team on the way up, and another whos owner needs to leave. Just sneaky is all, and if it were anyother team then the leafs there would be daggers shot. I don't need a pat on the back being a habs fan, i know the history and what they represent. Leafs are what they are and the fans have been patient. They deserve a good product. Its annoying not seeing the integrity of the sports stations being a bit better.
Spread the same praise for all Canadian franchises and the same criticism. Is that to much to ask? Listening to Dreger over the trade deadline on leafslunch was embarrassing... I listen to him on tsn 90 here and the guy cant call a spade a spade for the life of him. |
