I found a Burrowing Owl Meritage for 20 and the qwam qwmp Merlot for 18 last time I was there and they both run 25-30 here.

I've also seen average BC stuff go for 30 when you can get it here for 15.

I think the last BO Meritage I bought cost $45 although I can't remember if that was here or in Ontario and it had aged a bit.

They do regional buys here, 4 times a year and it lowers their pricing a bit. You can get decent wine here, but the best value is usually France or Italy.

We bought 3 bottles and drank it all that night, I can't remember the year, 45 seems excessive but this was probably 4 years ago.

Last time i bought directly at the vineyard it was at least $30 a bottle, and that was probably 6 years ago. The only thing they had at $20 bottle was their Chardonnay I think and i'm not a Chardonnay for the most part, most of them are too oaky for my palate.

Edit: I can confirm it was 6 years ago in a couple of weeks. Grace is 5 and we found out the old lady was pregnant that weekend.

Perhaps you're right about it being on clearance or perhaps they didn't know what they had. It was at a depanneur in Morin Heights, which is a small village in the laurentian's.

I’m party of okanaganwine.club, they just point you to the wineries and wines they like and you buy direct from winery. Good way to try new wines.

I also wish that Vancouver has had 5 lottery wins now too.

I really do enjoy some spanish whites. I find some of them have some spices that you don't find in other countries. Possibly my all-time favourite white wine came from Spain, though I can't remember the name. My father bought a case ( or at least half ) of it in the 80's and I had it twice.
