Matthews is paid 2% less of the cap than McJesus, 1.3% more than Eichel who took an 8 year deal.

Seemingly the entire RFA class has decided that they want to get paid handsomely this summer on their second contracts, and many believe the market is still being held up by Mitch Marner and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

I think JB should go out and get Boeser signed for a decent deal. He probably has a bit more upside left than a lot of other players, so signing him to a good contract will make the others ask for more and screw other teams.

Van doesn't need to overpay. Just get him signed to as a I said a decent contract. Obviously JB isn't going to overpay Boeser so the others have to overpay and screw himself over in the process.

5 years 7 million.

Could be the individual GMs just telling their RFAs you are not worth that but I do think there is some collusion
