I'm not sure how I missed this one. I forgot how good that guy was. THough looking up his 92-93 148 pt season a) made me wonder how the Sabres were a barely 500 team and b) gave me PTSD about our year that year. I had purged that crap from my memory.

I tried to pick guys you did not. Sawchuck could not be left off however.

I ended up with almost all righties somehow.

Pretty much everyone is going to have to have Sawchuk as their goalie. Cloutier wouldn't be a terrible pick to be different. Guy Hebert is meh and Plante costs too much

I haven't looked too hard into this, but has anybody done one of these with Marcel Dionne and Guy Lafleur?

Dionne costs over 100. I bet you could make it work, but you'd lose out on other areas. You might even have to play your boy Hamrlik to stay under budget.

Too expensive, I used Lafleur.

Edit, I see it is possible.

Dionne actually played 118 games, still fits. I can't believe I missed him as well. Really weakens the defense though. Ozolinsh was pretty solid however.

Closely watching some of the young Rangers "try-out" all last year and I wish to make a few comments... Not sure that L. Andersson and B. Howden should be assumed to make the roster. Howden was -14 last yr and often was defensively caught out of position, or worse yet was pushed off the puck by other centers. Andersson took some stupid penalties and showed very little offensive ability. Both need to spend a full year in AHL and "prove" to be in NHL. Two guys who HAVE proven they are ready for NHL are Vinnie Latterri and big 6'-5" Tim Gettinger. Also think Vlad Namestikov was misused as a winger. Closely watched him play 2 full seasons with Tampa and he was by far a better player at center. Jeff Gordon said he liked him best as a Center when the Rangers first acquired him. You would never place Backstrom or Kuznetsov on wing... LOL. NYR should resign Strome and Kreider long term if their contract demands r reasonable. NYR lineup for 2019-2020 should be: LINE1: PANARIN ZINBAEJAD BUCHNEVICH, LINE 2 : KREIDER STROME KAKKO, LINE3: LEMIEUX NAMESTIKOV KRAVTSOV, LINE4: CHYTIL, NIEVES, FAST
