And a belly to match. My brother saw him sitting on the floor at an airport in St. Louis earlier this year. Lol

for me as well

what I remember besides the dirty channel was that Boston TV-38 came in with this thing and my earliest hockey memories are of the finals between Boston and Montreal in 1978

Late 80s for my experience with this remote. I don't know what I did, but one day as a little kid I messed with the wires and suddenly my house had Prism. People remember that channel for the Philly games being on and the WWF house shows at the Spectrum, but when they showed movies it was uncensored. My first real experience watching Slap Shot was on Prism.

When I was a kid and we had that box my grandfather would call me downstairs to change the channel for him.

While you city slickers had cable, we had this. Didn't get cable at my parent's house until 1996, but was living in Bound Brook in '93, so had cable. Bought our house in October '94 and cable came in summer '95.

WTF is that?

By the way, over the weekend I was using a chainsaw and mowing my lawn (with shoes on) thought of you. Still have all your appendages?

ham radio right? I went down the rabbit hole of trying to look that up. Thought you threw us a curve with showing just a ham radio.

Old-timey motorized antenna control. If a channel gets fuzzy, a few clicks will fix that.

You sound like my wife, somehow my feet are going to slide under the mower. Yeah, that mesh on the sneaker is going to stop a blade. I did try the scythe, but wasn't getting good results, so I caved and bought an electric mower from the Big Orange Box. Used it 3 times, and had no problem getting the job done in one charge, about 1.5 hours. That's using the self-propel sparingly. Thing is so light and easy to maneuver that I really only need it to climb the slope.

He's in between. He likes to work outside basically naked or possibly wearing some type of wicker clothing.

Also grew up with one of these until around 1984. Used to have to dial only the last four numbers, and only had one phone in the kitchen. Life in cow country in the 1970's

Yeah, I thought it might be something like that. I used to sell aerials during my unfortunate time at Radioshack.

I just figure if the blades kiss my shoes that I might have some type of split second moment to mitigate how bad it will mangle my feet.

I was using my chainsaw in a pretty dumb manner though, need to watch that thing.

I actually have a sun joe cordless and that works pretty good. Good support too. Last weekend, the thing started having issues. I was still under warranty and they are just sending me a new unit. Only downside was, last weekend I had to mow with a trimmer. There's a tiny attachment that makes it look like a mini lawnmower, but that took forever. Luckily, I have so many B&D power tools that I had more than enough batteries.

In my house growing up we had cordless phones pretty much the whole time, but my mom legit had one of those as long as we had a house number. Well into the 2000s. It would still get used every once in a blue moon too. You'd appreciate that thing when the phone was about to die.

in 1977, Fred Shero sent this letter to the Flyers wives, how would this roll today?

That was us, too. One phone in the house, attached to the wall just outside the kitchen. Right where you could have zero privacy!! Yet somehow my sister was still on it 4 hours a day.

I'm at work so it doesn't come up for me, does it seem like something Tanner would write in his blog/comments?
