Delia is massively overrated.
He will be in Rockford for a year or two more, than disappear.
He got progressively worse as time went on.
He's not an long term NHL goalie. - vabeachbear
He was solid for a brief period in Chicago and played very well in Rockford. I'm not writing-off the kid just yet, but I wouldn't anoint him an NHL calibre goalie either. |

Paul, as U.S. citizen, please explain the Leafs hate. At first glance if anything, I would think the Montreal Canadiens would receive non-Habs fans ire. They've been so successful with 24 SC victories. Is Canada's press in the tank for Toronto? I can fully understand rivalries like Cubs-Sox. But, not living in Canada, I don't understand the Leafs hate. PLease inform. - gabriel
My Leaf hate is personal. I live 40 miles east of Toronto. My hate comes from the arrogance of many Leaf fans who plan Stanley cup parades in October then blame Bettman for all the Leafs woes in November. They still to this day blame Kerry Fraser for the cup they " would have won" had he called Gretzky for high sticking Doug Gilmour. And lastly for all the grief I got since I was a kid growing up in 70s for being a Blackhawk fan.
One benefit of all those planned parades is the Raptors had their parade down pat a few days after their NBA championship thanks to the detailed parade routes Leafs fans planned. |

It was Betteman's fault when the Leafs gave up 19 goals in the final 2 seconds to Boston in '13 and Boston played Chicago in the SCF.

LOL... I thought defense wins in the playoffs... now all of you are about goal scoring and a guy who doesn't bring much else.
Also comparing Dcat to a HOF in another sport..... - bhawks2241
Defense is very important ,and that what makes a natural goal score like Debrincat so much more important , I think he is do for a big year ,and the HAWKS will have to figure out away to keep him happy
I would give him 8 for 8 right now if he take it . Strom 6 for 8 .Then hold my breath and hope they continue to improve .. |

Another reason Colliton sucks. From ‘The Athletic’ about the last home game last season.
Marcus deserved better.
This past season he was made a healthy scratch in the Blackhawks’ final home game.
Blackhawks coach Jeremy Colliton downplayed the decision at the time when asked about it being possibly Kruger’s final home game.
“As far as I know, he’s still playing with us, so it’s not really something I thought about,” Colliton said. “There’s a lot of things you consider when you make the lineup.”
According a team source, Colliton and his coaching staff were focused on Chris Kunitz getting the opportunity to play because he was likely retiring after the season, and they didn’t recognize Kruger’s time in Chicago may be up. The source said Kruger’s healthy scratch was an unfortunate oversight.
Kruger has never been one to make a stink about anything, but his words are telling.
“You want to play every game,” Kruger said. “I definitely wanted to play that game. That’s all I can say. We weren’t playing for a playoff spot or anything, but I really wanted to play that game. That’s all I can say.” - scottak
Kruger can always come back for "ONE LAST SHIFT"

Now, I understand things more clearly. A rabid Life-long Hawks fan living in enemy territory really stood out. Why the arrogance generating from Leaf fans in general, since they haven't won diddly in such a long time? Makes little sense. I'm almost certain you said little to nothing during the Hawks' run and capture of 3 SC championships. Not! They'd love nothing more than to win it all, and scalp you with a Hawks' hatchet in the process. Let the fun begin anew this fall. Appreciate the info.

Would that be a brown shoe or black shoe?
I like Saad on the third line, not that Saad is a third line player but it creates more balance. In the top 3 lines the Hawks have solid pairings - Toews/Kane, Strome/Debrincat and Saad/Shaw. Of course lines will be mixed up and there's always the nuclear option when the team is down by a goal late in the game. But I think this is a good starting point. - DarthKane
Lmao @ Brown/ Black shoe Brown shoe
Saad and Shaw on the 3rd line would be a good combination. If I recall they played together with Kane before.

I like the "balanced lines" theory, but we've seen before when putting a lesser player on a top line drags the rest of the line down.
I prefer that the coaches be less rigid in how they construct the lines and more intent on making sure they have four lines that they can roll throughout the game. I don't want to see the 4th line averaging 6 mins or whatever they got last year. - Chunk
I'm for that . The problem with pairing Kane and toews is if the rest of the teamsmlines aren't balanced and producing Chicago can be easily shutdown.
I'd like to see on that line someone who has some skill and let toews battle In front of the net. |

Makes me laugh that Keith regularly ignores the rules. |

Could look at it like that. Could also look at it as we had a Puljujarvi in Strome and he panned out. |

For some reason I can’t post each player’s write up by Wiz but they’re both here. Just have to click on their name.

Kind of bizarre having a #4 and a #8 pick in the 2016 draft both be busts. Nylander was the 8th pick. |
