Do some fans really get upset over lack of nationally televised games? If I could, I'd have zero Flyers game nationally televised. - jmatchett383
What's the difference? They use your normal broadcast crew anyway because NBC already owns the rights for Flyers and other's games, and they're cheap. At least they try to be a bit more middle of the road as opposed to going full Jack Edwards.
Yeah... spend a day hunting so u can “feed your family”
Or
Just take a quick trip to the supermarket
They hunt for “sport”
Not survival
And it’s a joke to me how ppl try to pass off killing defenseless animals as something other than murder
I guess whatever they need to tell themselves so their fragile ego can rest easier
Just another version of bullies trying too hard to compensate for...
well, u know what

Where do you draw the line? Bears certainly aren't defenseless. Did you ever see The Edge?! But seriously, polar bears hunt people for sport. I've seen a regular sized doe front kick in a steel door of the side of a garage before, pierced right through the steel skin on it. Those hooves will (frank) your poop up. And you don't have a hope in hell of outrunning them. They are also very aggressive in the spring and fall, protecting their fawns and trying to get laid, respectively.
The whole reason for hunting seasons, in the US at least, is for conservation. Herds need to be culled, so they hand out a certain amount of tags a year to keep the populations in check.
The police have to cull herds in places you can't hunt because the numbers get out of hand.
And for the record, I've been hunting once in my life and I shot a turkey. I'm far from an avid hunter, but it is a necessity in some places.
And unless you're a super vegan, you tacitly support your so called "murder". And those animals are treated like poop their whole lives. What about that?

What ??? I loved the call !! Still gives me chills - gerbe75pts
Yeah, a lot of people think that. I was just giving my opinion that I thought it sounded dumb back then (the "oh now do you believe" part). Gives you the chills ? To me, it just sounds dorky.

Teams that draft well win from now on. 2019 was a good draft, I’m happy we got Cozens. I never said to tank next year, but having multiple cracks at a draft deep on talent would be fantastic. Sooner or later the future becomes the present. - Swedish_Jesus
Almost every year 'may rival 2003'
This was said about 2013. That was shoddy. We'll see how liberal the GMs are with their 1sts. Will be a good indicator regarding the strength of the 2020 draft. That being said, let's all do our best to stop looking at next years draft before September.

Oh for (frank) sakes Fitz.
Dylan Cozens will be Brandon Dubinsky if he's lucky>Hunting to feed your family means you're stoking your fragile ego and compensating for your small pecker.

That was probably one of the greatest calls I’ve ever heard Imo
With The Ottawa Senators being the best team and us being the underdog made that call all more special

Jesus christ dude.
I don't hunt, but I have seen emaciated and starving deer at the end of a long winter.
Hunting isn't just bullying deer, it's balancing the eco system

I am anticipating this morning for JCrag to go off on Botts based on the results of an article on The Athletic which used Sean Tierney's roster optimization tool to project how each of the Teams would perform this upcoming season.
Sabres finished tied for Bottom 5 finish, so either 26th or 27th.

I agree with the multiple 84 point predictions. Idk what place that would be. Unless Mittelstadt has a huge, huge jump

My source told me Botts read the article during his nacho bath...Bott’s went bananas and ran to the window and shouted at the top of his lungs he was ready to pay the PRICE...

BTW, that was tongue in check, although it didn't come off that way.
I always enjoy your take that it isn't good enough...thought that is where you would take it, lol.
The article was interesting, but had some surprises in it. Most notable to me was CBJ remaining a playoff team. They lost some pretty impactful players and I think it will hurt them more than the model showed.
I think overall, finishing between 20sh and 25sh is about right as presently constructed.

Speaking of The Athletic, Vogl did a "best case-worst case" article for each player. According to him, the Rangers put Vesey at RW for a brief period last year and he produced. Then they took him off that wing and never considered it again. Kruger might have that in mind as well.
I actually prefer it since I have to watch on NHL streaming and they black out the national games. Then I have to fight with the family over the TV in the main room
What is a huge jump? If he becomes a 45-50 point player this season, is that good enough? Does it change the convo about him? - Phatjohnsn
If he's playing with Reinhart on the second line, we'd probably need Reinhart to still be a 65 point winger, which means Mittelstadt will need to have 55+
And then Sheary on the first line probably needs to be close to 60 points.
