I don't think replacing Gardiner, Hainsey and Zaitsev with Barrie and Ceci has done much to improve the defensive side of the leafs game.

Add to this the fact that Brown is gone, Hyman is hurt, Dermott is hurt, and Marner will be holding out. Is there anyone left who knows how to pk up until Christmas when some of these guys return?

Sorry, I think the leafs have improved overall, but they haven't done anything to help make Freddy look less like Denis Lemieux. I predict wins about the same in less starts, and a far worse save % through no fault of Anderson.

The pk was awful near the end of the year.

They have Tavares and Matthews that could play if Babcock wanted to.

They still have kapanen, and Johnsson can be feisty. Moore probably plays pk as well.

Leafs don’t take a lot of penalties either, so it may not be a crucial as you may think.
