I expect more of you. Your narrow mindedness is disappointing.

Stats are nice but so much is lacking & unaccounted for. The eye test always is best to determine players value. Using both can draw a better picture for assessments.

Sorry Carol,

Thought I would throw this out there for all of you, if Makita or Whitelie, do not like thos post, please delete.
For anyone that is looking for work, they may or should be looking at jobs in Kitimat BC.
The Union Halls in experienced Heavy Equipment Operators, experienced Labourers,(concrete people) are running very thin.
The wages here are decent, on most jobs, although not what some may expect.
The union, non-union and other sectors have been hiring, from all over and would be a camp/ fly in fly out situation..
Needless to say, a poop ton of work work is happening in this beautiful, if any of you who know people that are interested, get them to start inquiring.

Lefty need not apply. Lol

Again my apologies, for posting, a non-hockey related post.

- Reubenkincade

I’m ok with it, in fact I’ll be texted a nephew who is an equipment operator who was in Alberta, but last I heard looking for work.

My hopes for this season:
- squeak into the playoffs
- young guns all take a step forward
- sutter, tanev traded for assets?
- FERLUND beats up Matt tkchuk
- demko out plays maelstrom and takes over the #1 roll
- Erickson, anywhere but Vancouver

That’s all!

Another reason to hate Toronto....every year I buy the Sports Forecaster NHL Preview magazine, in BC it doesn't show up on shelves until around August 20-23. Found it here in Toronto yesterday. What a (frank)in joke! Not to mention that I have to look at the ugly mugs of Tavares, Mathews and Marner.....female genitalias.....

Using both is the current way if the league, relying only the eye test is for the dinosaurs that no longer have jobs in this league.

I was told by a connection in Edmonton that LE nixed the deal as it was on a list of teams he'd refuse.
The same source told me to be thankful it didn't happen that lucic is worse than most of the league knows. Doesn't surprise me. Lucic was traded from Bruins, obviously didn't want him anymore. LA let him go after what 1 season.....after trading for him. His new home after that now wants him gone. Thank God the trade was nixed

- SMBDragon

LE basically wanted to play for Tippett where he had his best years in the league by far. We are way better off with Ferland here. I wouldn't have cared about the LE for Lucic swap but man imagine #teamwhiner if it happened lol

Geez, it ain’t hard right now to find a job. Every trade is understaffed.

Try and find someone decent at tape and mud, plumbing, mechanical, electrical. I’m losing days on schedule because the trade guys are so undertrained or lack the skills to do a job quickly and efficiently.

lol. I’m not one of those anti-millennials. It’s just the industry is booming and the GC’s are using more and more apprentices with not enough supervision.

Thank god we are seeing more and more gals in trades. It’s helped fill the void.

If Loui makes it to camp I have a feeling it's not going to be a pleasant experience.

Good point. Green doesn't appear to be a coach that likes being called out by players lol. As I'm sure most coaches don't.

I don’t think anything changes for Canucks/LE this coming season. He reports to camp. He plays same minutes as last season. Same uselessness. And this is how it goes until his contract expires.

His leash isn't that long anymore - hence Green calling him out at the end of the season, getting scratched and the constant decline in minutes.

Probably...but the rift with Green is obviously there, His attitude suggests that his effort level probably won't be there if his minutes are way down but I could be wrong. These guys are pros and shouldn't have those types of attitudes but with LE it could be the case.

I think it's largely a matter of a veteran player in decline and grasping for excuses. Eriksson was brought in to score goals, he sucked and got put into a role where he can contribute to a practical level. At $2m, he'd be fine, but for $6m he's an albatross.

Now if he genuinely believes he's still a 30 goal guy, the best thing to do is train hard and force the issue with results in limited minutes. But of course, that's not the likeliest outcome.

If LE wants to prove he can put up points then have him do it in the AHL. Wouldn't it be better for Canuck's asset management to not risk losing players like Leivo, Motte, Goldy on waivers. LE can be injury call up and have him earn back a spot. Though if they are really lucky someone actually takes him on waivers.

Exactly.
I like the idea of salo. I forgot he was coaching in Finland.
I'd like to replace Baumgartner with a defensive strategist like Yeo. Carlyle too if he'd accept the assistant role. It'd be an upgrade in the experience department as well

- SMBDragon

Sorry Dragon but Carlyle? Seriously, look at the shots they gave up! If it wasn’t for Gibson, they would have been picking top 4 for sure. Defensively, the game has passed Carlyle by. His only “defensive acumen” came when Pronger and Niedermayer were leading the D.

Hey - if anyone’s interested in a goal scorer named “Cole” who’s actually worthy of massive pro hype, check out what Perfetti 🇨🇦 did vs 🇸🇪 today.
