Your post wasn't crapping on him but, he is the Donald Trump of the hockey world when it comes to being attacked by the media, since his time in Montreal. And by your logic, any defender that received 0 Norris votes in 2018, should be excluded from the conversation? Your logic is flawed. - WayneZ
I thought your argument was that PK was good? |

need to go over to HF for that, he's a God to them.
Would probably be in some poster's top 5 for the league |

The Don is great at penetrating the offensive zone. He has a 100% puck possession ratio when entering North Korea. Best rating in the history of #merican presidents. |

If they do Top-5 defenseman who've had strokes he's got a great shot! |

Obviously I have a little bias here but I think Letang is worthy of at least an honorable mention. - MattStrat
There’s a ton of elite defensemen in the East so some guys had to miss the list, but yeah I’d give him an honorable mention for sure. |

After watching the playoffs, I'd take Slavin 100% of the time over Hamilton.
Dougie was displaying all the reasons he's been on 3 teams already, I think. |

Reilly played with Ron freaking Hainsey last year. The guy is a train wreck defensively. In fact he has played with bum partners his whole career. If a dman like Muzzin played the right side with Reilly he would be the best dman not named Hedman. People are clueless |

With Crosby setting the bar in pooptsburgh, you wouldn't know what class is.

HockeyBuzz Hotstove: Top-5 defensemen in the Eastern Conference? - ToddCordellVAN
I get these are "fluff" articles to fill time with. But Proverov???? He notched a whopping 26 points in 82 games. Yes I expect him to bounce back with a 35+ point season, but what does Barrie and his 59 points have to do to make the list? Or 19 year old Dahlin and his 44 points? Letang put up 56 points in just 65 games, better ppg than most of those listed players, plus more cup rings than any. |

Rielly’s “just ok” in his own zone. Having a stay at home allows him to do what he does. |

Weber had an off season being injured but he should be in the conversation.

So would I, Slavin is definitely underrated amongst casual fans and hockey media. |
