I agree. I don't go to games very often. poops expensive.

But I understand why people like going. And sitting a guy, THE guy, on one of the four games all season that is stupidly more expensive, is like spitting in the face of everyone in attendance.

The Jays are a national team and people come from all over to watch them.

I get what you're saying but the premium tickets are more about who the visiting team is and the manager shouldn't be setting his roster because of ticket promotions.

The problem is that Vald is 20 years old. They don't need to sit him again. He just sat out a game on Wednesday or Thursday (don't remember which), and he's not coming off an injury. If they decide to sit him a game here and there, fine. But you do that for road games and/or games during the week.

It's an afternoon home game on a Sunday. It just so happens that today is the premium game. But in a season where the management team has gone out of their way to tear apart the team on the field, they have to do things to show the fans what the future holds and why they should care about this team. EDIT: Especially when you're charging $80 for a regular $25-$30 ticket.

Hard to disagree with any of this. Then again, I've just stopped caring about this team mostly because of how the shatkins duo is operating this team. That said, we dont know the ins and outs so its entirely possible he has a minor ailment they feel would be better served resting it rather than risking a more serious injury.

I dislike them greatly.

Yeah, they've done some things right, but my god their assessment on players worth in trades is abysmal.

I obviously don't know for certain or anything but I think it's a decent bet that he is healthy because he hit his first career triple yesterday and he's not very fast. Couldn't do that unless healthy.

Wont be seeing many triples from him as he ages. Enjoy it now lol.

He might still be winded today from running that much yestersay lol.

The assessment of value is a problem, but the worse problem is the timing.

There was ZERO reason to trade Stroman or Sanchez, nevermind trading them for pretty much nothing.

This reeks of exactly what some of us feared when they hired Shatkins. This is on Rogers. They clearly don't want to spend any money on the team.

100% agreed. There was no reason at all to trade them if all you were gonna get in return was the almost nothing they got.

But I think, as much as money is a reason for the trade, that they wanted every player involved with the past teams playoffs gone. They want the team to be completely "theirs".

Shapiro has gone out of his way to never acknowledge the good that AA did for the franchise. Every time he talks about it, he's taking potshots at him. It's honestly childish.

No. Just like you dont get refunded if your team loses or pay extra when it goes into over time.

And really, in this heat and humidity, you say thank you for not making me sit here for hours and enjoy the rest of your sunday.

Yup. Anyone who has watched Sanchez could see that he was better than his numbers suggested and that finger problems were a big part of the reason for his fall from grace. So was playing on a terrible team and an idiot manager (this season).

It's unfortunate that the management team just wanted to get rid of every player associated with the old regimes playoff runs.

Its not that bad out.
They paid to sit for hours, so they wouldnt have minded.
But, its sports. No refunds.
If there were, the leafs would have been bankrupt decades ago

Also, aren't women's tennis fans like 94 years old on average same as the women's golf fans, like SpazzD'oops?

This way they get back to the nursing home in time for dinner at 3:00.

I hope so too.

Mrs. Wedgie dropped $200 for a single ticket.

The couple sitting in front of her arrived just as Williams retired - they didn't see a single shot.

I'm a big fan of Serena and she looked pretty gassed yesterday. Had to play 3 sets. She was struggling to breathe at times. I was surprised she went on to win the match.

I don't know where the injury came from. But I recall thinking this morning that Serena would have a tough time winning today given how hot it was and her tough match hours earlier. I don't think she's in proper tennis shape yet. She's almost 38 years old and now she's a mom. I think she's struggling to find a balance between being a top tennis player and being a mom.

I think those fans attended should get a refund. I'm happy for the Canadian girl who won. She's only 19 so she has a bright future. I hope Serena can be healthy enough to win the US Open. I'm sick of hearing about Margaret Court's fake record for grand slam titles.

Half of them were won in Australia before the pro era. Most of the top players used to skip the Australian Open. Serena has the real Grand slam titles record.
