Thanks Carol.
I have seen some highlights which show the good side, but I do remember watching him in the U18 and he was good.
I have seen some clips and speed is definitely not an issue. He is a great passer , sees the ice very well . The thing I like is he can stick handle to the net or crash it. He can play both ways.
I did also notice in the tournament he was very reliable in his own end. - VANTEL
Podz or V-Pod not sure what is going to stick. He doesn't hover he drives the play. His skill set and style of play is likely to do better on NHL ice over KHL. His best production was on smaller ice. Which can translate into a core role on an emerging Canuck team.

Here's a rumour to cheer up a boring summer day.
https://www.traderumours.com/index.php?blog=5992
Islanders rumoured to be presenting Marner with a $13m per OS. Toronto doesnt even have space to go 10% over to match that right now. Their strategy seems to be to wait for the season to open, activate their LTIR and sign Marner with that remaining $10m relief even if they have to make another move to get them over the matching Matthews hump providing they are willing to do that.
Fingers crossed for a major (frank) up.... |

That would be wild . Leafs would probably take the 4 first round picks seeing they sold next years. Marner still has to sign though |

Of course but I'm sure if there is any truth to this, both sides are putting the deal together before it's signed. I doubt they don't communicate/negotiate before hand. There's no tampering.

No sex for me for the next month.
My wife just video chatted with her 85 year old frail mother in the Philippines and now misses her very much.
She said to me I wish I could serve my mother and cook for her. I told her "Your mother is very lucky. I have tasted your cooking and she is a very lucky woman that she lives thousands of miles away." |

That would’ve made more of us feel better going the maybe safer pick. I wanted him but there is more to it is my guess. Brackett’s influence is hard to know or JB’s reasoning behind taking Podz over Boldy. Be nice if anyone has a link in the draft decision at that time. |

How do Isles make the cap room with $8.6M open on 22 signed and 2 RFAs. Plus Barzal is RFA next season. Sounds more like revenge fantasy for losing Tavares. |
