I heard on SN650 on Friday that Nikita Gusev was hoping he was going to be traded to Vancouver so he could play with Petey. If Marner had similar thoughts then a 10 mil offer sheet would cost two firsts a second and third. Then it gets into the realm of Would YA?

If you pulled it off and then traded Boeser and Sven to Minny for Boldy and another prospect then it becomes less of a hit .

I agree to a point .

TO has to look at next year they have 26 mil in space and 11 players signed. They have not made it out of a first round and they have one Dman signed for next year and need to sign a couple of RFAs. Giving Marner 11 mil of that cap space leaves them with 15 mil and holes everywhere. TO are in a rebuild too
