He has 240 goals to go
6 more 40 goal seasons - jcragcrumple
That's with losing a season and a half of his career due to work stoppage. Hes pretty unreal. 5 more 50 goal seasons and hes there. It's actually possible... amazingly |

There was 1 20g defenseman in the NHL this year. 55 points was #10 in the league.
If he puts up 55, I don't really care how many goals he scores. It would be a great 2nd year. - Lunaion
How dare you think reasonably. If Dahlin doesn't get 40 goals this year, he's a bust. |

I agree, ov is somehow still underrated
But no one is ever going to score 200 points in a season because the game is different. |

So you're saying if Dahlin played better, maybe the Sabres record could have been closer to that year for the Wings?
Tall task, but ok, I see where you're going with iy. |

If he was playing is the 80s who knows how many goals he would've scored.... I'd guess he would've averaged 100 per season.
Dahlin still sucks because orr scored more goals as a rookie though. |

The stats show that the 91-92 Red Wings TEAM was a far better one and scored 100 more goals than the 2018-19 Sabres. That is all. |

Just F'ng with ya.
I love Dahlin, played great for an 18 YO rookie. He has plenty of room for improvement, and I'm high on him achieving terrific results.
I'd really like to see Jokiharju next to him for about 10 games, and then Miller for 10 just to see what those combos looks like |

1. who reads the paper anymore?
2. where did I say yeldon was better then singletary , NEVER DID
shady won't be here next year
gore won't be here next year
if you think they are going with singletary and rb's not on the roster in 2020, it's your opinion
2 snaps in preseason does not trump a month worth of training camp, and yeldon was brought in to be a 3rd down back and 2 minute rb
nothing more, nothing less - homiedclown
U really think the lack of RBs signed in the long term will be be a factor on whether or not Yeldon is kept now?
I really don’t see how that matters
They can easily draft another RB and bring in a UFA next year
Yeldon is nothing special
There’s plenty of “Yeldons” (or better) available every year
I think if they keep him,
it’s bc they like him as the “pass catching back” and then we see Gore cut
*seems like McCoy & Singletary are locks |

Seems to me like that’s a rarity that teams play 4 RH defensemen on a nightly basis,
and not that “many teams” are doing so
*i’ve seen it many times with 4 LH defensemen in the lineup, just not RH

I agree 100%. I can see him and Joker down the road being a very solid long term top pair for this team if Joker pans out. Miller might be the best fit for him in the short term. |

Reason to not spend much time on Cap Friendly
Burgeron + Marchand + Pasternak = 19.7mil per
Eichel + Skinner = 19.0mil per
I realize that Boston signed those guys to long term deals before this recent salary boom

He may have. I didn’t get to watch many back then since I only got CBC English and French. Had to wait until we played the Canadiens or Leafs |

I recall he played a few games at wing during his rookie season.
Housley began his NHL career with Buffalo in 1982. The 6th overall draft pick from 1982 skipped college and went straight from high school to the NHL without missing a beat. In his rookie season he scored 19 goals and 66 points by as a defenseman. There was no sophomore jinx for Housley, as he improved to an incredible 31 goals and 77 points in season two. He did spend some time playing left wing however.
