Does anyone think dak prescott is worth 40 million a season? Seems like a ridiculous ask on his part.
- Sabres1523

He is the new Kaepernick

He will be kneeling by November and on the roster bubble by December.

It was Myers playing the left
My mistake
It failed

Articles blame it on his size stating it would need to be a smaller d man trying to make the switch

- homiedclown

Huh???

“Jets defenceman Tyler Myers, the second-pairing's veteran right-side guy”

Myers played the right side as well

Mario > Jagr..... no doubt
- jdfitz77

Okay dude, I'll stop being facetious with this one:

Mario > Jagr > Greatzky > Orr > Hasek

Durr... I have said numerous times I think Mario is light years ahead of Wayne and hell yes, I put Jagr above The Great One because his possession skills are untouchable - he was an immovable force when he got the puck and he often did things by himself that even Wayne (and Mario - obviously) needed other players to do. Gretzky re-invented the position and he changed the game but he was shooting at pee-wee goalies half his career, Mario came back AFTER back cancer and scored something like 73 points in 41 games in the lowest-scoring era in NHL history.

Now go bother someone else.

Jagr > Gretzky ?????
We’re all entitled to our own opinions,
but that sure is a doozy

Sorry I’m “bothering” you with a hockey take of my own that corresponds to your hockey take

I guess i mistakenly thought that’s what these boards were for

U want to ignore me?
That’s fine. It’s your prerogative
I was just talking hockey though
That’s all

here is the link I was looking for on trouba

"Restricted free agent defenseman Jacob Trouba has requested a trade from the Winnipeg Jets because they won't use him on the right side.

"I want to play on the right side to realize my potential," Trouba, 22, told TSN. "That's not going to happen in Winnipeg. This has nothing to do with Winnipeg as a city. This is about me getting the chance to be the best player I can be. I've worked hard to get this far. I don't want to look back in 20 years and wish I hadn't just gone with the flow. Sometimes you have to put yourself first. This isn't an easy decision. But I want to play on the right side.""

Screw off with your rants. Just waiting to pounce on someone with your BS, like a schoolgurl.

Interesting

But doesn’t this point to it not being a great idea to play one of our RH guys on the left?

Maybe someone would be comfortable with it,
maybe not?
Seems like they tried that with Myers to get the 3 RH guys in the top4 and it just didn’t work

I still believe it’s very rare for RH defensemen to play on their off side

Looks like after that, they did move him to the right, and he’s been there since

With Risto, we have a clear cut top5
LH- Dahlin, McCabe
RH- Risto, Montour, Miller

When everyone is healthy, who’s #6?
LH- Scandella, Pilut
RH- Bogo, Jokiharju, Nelson(😂😂😂)

For the sake of this board, I hope JB makes a move soon; any kind of move will do. Even if it comes from KP or TP.

None.

I think Risto is an ok hockey player. As a top 4 D man he’s just not good.

He’s legit Tyler Myers

4/5 D man who should get some PP time.

If you’re banking on him to be a 2/3 and handle tough minutes it isn’t going to go well

There's a market for that awkward giraffe. There has to be a market for our angry finn.

Bring me a real RW

I think there is absolutely a market.

Because Risto has the physical tools and everything old hockey men love.

And if he stays, cool. Just stop treating him like he’s great

It’s said of Krueger that he’s a fantastic motivator; like Teddy Nolan on steroids. Not much of an X’s and O’s guy, but apparently he’s a good communicator. Perhaps Risto just needs to feel better about himself.

At this point, “a real RW” might be a lot tougher to get for RR. If salary is retained, maybe a mid round pick, middling prospect, and someone else’s Berglund/Sobotka?

I think they can make a one for one with a legit winger.

Should have been done a year or two ago though

U don’t think that being stuck in such a horrible situation played a huge role in his numbers looking so bad?

Below average goaltending with no help from the forwards and mostly terrible partners playing huge icetime against other teams top players while our crappy team was constantly being caved in
Idk anyone who could’ve looked good under those circumstances?

With a better team around him, and a partner like Dahlin, i think Risto would have a chance to look really nice

Maybe you’re right, and he just blows
But...
1) we’ve seen how good he can occasionally be,
specifically against the Caps & Tampa (2 great offensive teams)
2) while he was mostly stuck in terrible circumstances, when put in an advantageous one on the PP he did really well

Again...
maybe your right, but he’s certainly had the odds stacked heavily against him in his time here
