Yeah. It's not like he had significant value. If they were seriously shopping him at the TDL and had no offers, then it is what it is.

I think from most fans perspective, the approach they are taking is the correct one. Build the farm, develop the prospects - build from within, and supplement from outside when you need to. l think what most of us are frustrated with is that their value in acquisitions is far lower than most people (in and out of the industry) expect. So when something like this happens it just seems like another throw your arms in the air moment, yelling "Shatkins!" into the empty sky, frightening the birds, and shaking the ground.

Maybe that's just me.

If the plan was to play the kids, which it obviously was, then there was absolutely no reason to not trade him.

If they settled for loose scraps on the guys they shouldn't have traded, then they could have done that for the guys they should have.

Meh. Galvis. My concern is will this club spend and attract any pitching in the offseason. 3 good starters with what they have offensively could put them in the convo next season. I'm afraid these guys will look internally only as they are cheap, and the pitching will blow again next year

He's been arguably one of the better closers in the league.
