I was thinking so too.
I would consider Demko. - dbot
Don't think JB would do it. He's been grooming Demko for years to be the #1 tender for future contending Canucks. He's more likely to give up draft picks.
Canucks would need to make cap space for Risto. Sabers want forwards who can play now. If they don't bite on Sven, Goldy and Rathbone then no sense going higher.

Did he do it with a towel over his arm?

No towel but he was excited he scored

I see we’ve reached that point in the off-season where we’re making BS EA sports fantasy trades over BS trade rumours. Go play outside, folks. #Canucks - manvanfan

I'm okay with all the Jerseys retires with the exception of Naslund.
Love Naslund and think he's underrated in many ways by this fanbase but he didn't impact the organization the same way Smyl, Linden, Bure and the Sedins did.
No to Luongo, hell of a player and was a very important part of this teams success but not as much as the 5 above. - belcherbd
what? that's easily the stupidest sh8t I've heard all day - Naslund didn't impact the organization? he's literally 3rd in every category of all time canuck scoring leaders behind the Sedins. Those 2001-2004 Canucks teams could've won a cup if that fawk head Cloutier wasn't letting in 4+ goals in every fawking game. They'd always bow out against the Red Wings/Avs teams that were in their heydays. Cant blame Naslund. |

I blame AV for not getting the best out of Luo... Never pulled him ever when he should have. - kaptaan
It's not all on AV. Lou never warmed to Melanson's coaching like Schneider did...and it showed. Lou wanted Francois Allaire when he was traded to Van and he never got him. It pissed him off. |

I still believe if Luo was pulled in game 3, Nux win game 4... - kaptaan
Possible but tough to say now. It was Lou's team and AV was living and dying with it. |

I don't want to trade Demko, his ceiling his higher than Markstrom's as is his floor IMO. He's just younger and most goalies take a little longer, even more than dmen. |

Having lived through different eras I don’t compare stats because the game had changed so much. Brodeur had an absolutely awful team in front of him, Neilson got the best out of those guys! He was a fun goalie to watch. It’s too bad you’re too young to have witnessed him play. - Shuswap Wap
Loved King Ricky, later Irbe had that same kind of vibe- do anything to make a save. Imagine what the older generation of goalies could have accomplished with some actual quality coaching! |

We really need the season to start, judging by reading the last few pages of the last blog, holy frank man. - Bettmanhatesus

Yes. OJ could benefit Canucks even sooner. A March push with a returning Tryamkin would be great boosts to the D depth that fits in the cap. No telling what kind of injuries or overworked players would need a break. - NuckUp
Nikita is having a tough enough time staying relevant in the KHL, he is a long shot to play for the Canucks. |

I didn't say any of that....
Naslund was a great player and captain but that's not enough for Jersey retirement for me. |

JB said this off season he is looking forward to his return. Tryamkin is the Captain of his club and recent highlights saw him scoring on the power play and rushing the net. |

Is he captain again? They pulled the C off him before a series of scratches last season.

He looks like a changed man. Mean, lean and hungry to play. He needed to mature. Young guy still. I expect him back before end of season. If Tryamkin plays with some fire he'll stick and make Tanev expendable if not already injured. |

Well, its up to Green. If Tree can pull it off... good for him but I have my doubts.
