Fans are hypocrites. General rule is that if it's your team then it's ok. If it's not your team then it's wrong. Cheer for the laundry. I used to hear how the Red Wings bought their Stanley Cups. Yet they drafted Yzerman, Fedorov, Lidstrom, Konstantinov, Kozlov, Holmstrom, Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Kronwall, etc.

God forbid you trade for an elite player like Shanahan! That's not fair! Never mind that they drafted Primeau who was the main player used to get Shanny. It's also not fair when you sign a big free agent like Cujo, Hull, Rafalski or Hossa. 😂 But you're supposed to be content with losing a Marty Lapointe for nothing as a UFA. How dare you replace him!

Or losing your best defenseman Konstantinov to a career ending limo accident and trading for Chelios to replace him, giving up 2 first round picks. You're not allowed to replace him! Trading for Hasek was the most hilarious one of them all though. One guy told me "The Red Wings should be kicked out of the league. That's BS. It's not fair they can throw their money around like that." Apparently they got Hasek for free. I still haven't found out where Slava Kozlov went. I guess he missed the plane. Red Wings lost a first round pick that year too. Why would the league do that? Take away a teams first round pick? It's not fair! 😂
