Agreed, the 4th line could be its best in a long time. Depends what happens to that last top nine spot but things look like the Flyers could have a nice checking 4th line with some scoring upside.

Best only if it's - Raffl/Laughton/Pitlick And, with your definition of what is a good 4th line, "nice checking 4th line with some scoring upside". I think the Flyers management did a good job pulling these guys together. I hope one of them do not jump to the third line. I'd rather put the "player to be named later" on the 3rd line wing.
All these guys can skate, hit, and agitate. There goal is to avoid GA and wear out the other teams top lines. Score when you can, but the team shouldn't be relying on goals from the 4th line. And, these guys should be the PK guys as well, resting line one and two..
I hate when they waste a fourth line spot on either a goon who can't skate (although, those days are gone), or a top-notched scoring rookie and expect him to play defense on the 4th line. Teach them to play defense in the AHL or the third line.
