Maybe he is a lazy player! Once again, he’s here on tryout! That’s not the argument. I’ve told you’ve I’ve seen plenty of Stewart but you’re desperately calling me a lair because my few differs with yours.

You’re just flip flopping words. At no point did you say “He’s not as tough as I think he is”, you just said my statement was a false narrative. Bill then stepped in and said no many want to tangle with Stewart and you disagreed. I told you to try watch some YouTube clips, which everything in 2017 that I found, Stewart is either man handling a guy or going toe to toe. You brushed it off and excused me of not watching him.

You even at some point admitted he plays physical 10 to 15 games a season, which really isn’t horrible. It’s still playing physical. You brought up Stewart’s last season in the NHL where he only taught three times, which is pretty good in a league that’s trying to take out fighting.

this is actually very very funny to me. you telling me i am wrong because my view differs from yours is the same thing no?

you have your opinion. misguided as it may be. calling you a liar lol. you like playing the victim.

again never said he wasn't physical gritty or tough. I said he doesn't do it consistently enough. No where near consistently in fact. This isnt saying anything new about him. thats why he isnt the nhl as he is useless if not bringing it every game

3 fight is pretty good. ok that's your take. so you watched his you tube "highlights" not his games. got it.

Chris Stewart

https://www.hockey-refere.../players/s/stewach02.html

In 54 games of the 17/18 season had 48 hits. That’s pretty physical.

In the 16/17 season, he had 85 hits in 79 games.

In the 15/16 season, he had 72 hits in 56 games.

Tell me, are these non-physical numbers?

what about slides, you can slip them right on without that uncomfortable thong between your big toe and whatever the second toe is called?

Michael Raffl doesn’t have anything to do with anything.

To respectfully answer your question, I don’t think Raffl is a non-physical player. He does what he has to do to get the job done. Strong along the walls. I wouldn’t call Raffl tough or a fighter. Physical, I suppose Raffl can be.

The piggy who ‘stayed home’

It’s also called the ‘long toe’. I remember in school learning that it can be longer than your big toe depending on ancestry

Raffle has a everything to do with the question I asked you. So you think he is a physical player. Got it.

I didn’t ask you if he was tough or a fighter. Not sure why you brought that up

No, because our topic has been about Chris Stewart and whether or not he is a tough and gritty player. There has been no mention of Michael Raffl all afternoon.

I’m not surprised you’re flipping from one player to another though.

I mentioned raffle. Not flipping anything asked you a simple question. Both are physical players you think. All good here.

Ah August. The time of year where we argue tooth and nail over which washed up player is is better for a limited role on our team.

Let us not forget the names Shelley, Asham, Downie & Rosehill and the differences they made🙏

No, we’re not all good. You spent all afternoon telling me how wrong I am but my eye test and stats support my argument. Now what? You suddenly have nothing? I thought I had nothing, no argument and your Evaluation was the overall right one.

Well it's simple a reality that any contender plays with a good 4th line

I feel like Patrick is gonna need help to make those next steps. Yeah, he’s got a LW for sure.

Does Pitlick help him develop more or less than one of Farabee/Frost/Rubtsov

Nothin against Pitlick, of course. He’s a solid NHLer. I’d be more than happy to have him starting on my team. We just have a ton of exciting potential, and I’m itchin like a dope fiend in need of a fix.

- Hesh_

Not sure if Pitlick is getting undervalued here or if some of the Flyer’s prospects are being over valued. But regarding the prospects. They are good prospects but none of them have any more then 14 games of pro experience. Pitlick is a good enough player but a little injury prone. Not even saying he wins that spot but he is ahead of these young-ins going into camp. Would love for one of the kids to blow the wheels off everybody in camp but not confident that is going to happen.

I’m also hoping Morgan Frost makes the team in a top nine role.

Oddly I’m hoping Chris Stewart can grab a one year, fourth line role. It’s not about whet he uses to be, he’s not that player anymore (was he ever that player?) but Stewart is still a tough and gritty player. I feel like we’re missing this element right now.

- SuperSchennBros

He is big and physical. I’ll give him that. Stewart is a really long shot to make this team or any team but he does have a shot

if Stewart makes the team out of any of the other possible options, it's a bad sign.
