Ek is so frightened that he may have to go save the Arizona Coyotes. I forgot Nichushkin was drafted 10th overall. I also recall most fans blaming Lindy Ruff for his not developing. Sooner or later a player has to stop pointing the finger and look in the mirror. Be accountable. Puljujarvi is following the same path.

Is Dubas trading Ceci so he can sign Gardiner? I don't see how else the Leafs could fit him under the Cap. They need all their cap space for Paul I mean Mitch Marner.

I think the idea is that if the Leafs bridge Marner for 2-3 years, his cap hit will be low enough to fit Gardiner in as well... I don't see that happening though. Marner's camp thinks his value now is 11.634M. Most of the bridge deals for star players in recent years have been at or below the 3.5-4.5M mark. Even if Marner signs for 2-3 years at 8.5M, that isn't going to leave enough room for Gardiner, even if he agrees to take the same money as last season... for this to work, he would have to sign for 2M and that's assuming Marner takes 8.5M and I don't see that happening.
