Media keeps saying all other free agents are waiting for the Marner deal. Well Toronto's strategy at this point is to wait it out, file their LTIR when the season starts and then sign Marner. So anyone waiting for Marner is more or less content with their player missing camp altogether. This would be a horrible idea for the Canucks.

The best bet is probably Markstrom and another player like Tanev packaged together to a team with cup aspirations that loses their goalie. Vegas for example.
