Rosen will play eventually and he's going to get eaten alive again behind another crappy o-line. I know I thought the trade was decent at first but now I'm thinking that they should've just rolled with Fitz and some cheap/free to acquire project QB and then draft a QB in the loaded 2020 class.

That division is just a QB graveyard outside of 50 year old Brady.

Nah, that protection will get better. It helps that they have a developing elite LT. I never really wanted Rosen to open the season if they can't protect him. Fitz is a vet, used to diagnosing D's.... He's smart, can make a quick play. Have him operate behind the that O-line until you can provide protection.

I've said from the outset that unless something proves otherwise it's more than a 1 year evaluation. The kid is improving, but it's a complex offense......like the 5th one he's learning in 5 years.

Listening to 650. 62% approval on the JB extension at time of broadcast. 38% no. Near double in favor...

Most of the 38% are HB Alts.

I just have a feeling that the'll be in the mix for another QB in the draft next year. Just seems like their on a path of continued mediocrity unless they can build up an elite defense + decent starting QB or just find an elite starting QB and build a decent defense.

I'm not buying into Darnold or Allen either, sucks that the (frank)ing Pats keep getting to cakewalk to division titles.

i think even the biggest benning haters would have to approve of the extension. imo it doesnt make his job any more secure but it will at least make his decision making consider the impacts 2-3 years down the road instead of going all in this year trying to prove himself worthy of an extension

Those numbers are probably pretty similar to the ones on here too actually. Majority are in favor of the extension I would say

Thanks Carol.

Keppen was on my radar near the start of the season being somewhere near a late round 2nd but that faded. I think the whole tries really hard and has size might carve him out a NHL career on the 4th line but I don't see a lot of other skills that could elevate him past that.

Cheers to being wrong for the better though.

He sounds like a Gadjovich that has average speed instead of no speed

I totally agree with both points. I think FA would have no problem sacrificing 2 years of Bennings contract and firing him if this season is a disaster. Just look at Gillis who had 2 or 3 years, Torts who still had 4 years I think... Linden... I'm sure Dave Donuts had term remaining...

Pretty much I guess. Maybe not as tough. Gadjovich has pretty good hands in close. Keppen might have the better shot from distance. They about equal I'd say. Be so tough if both ended up on the roster with Virtanen and Podzolin.

yepper

just because he has a contract it doesn't mean he won't be let go early for whatever reason.

Was the trade for Miller because he wanted to make an immediate impact or feeling the pressure?

Feck, can't wait for hockey to get started as I try to put words in your mouth.

Gadjovich can’t keep up with NHL’ers, he’d be the fat kid in gym class out there

i think he had to be feeling a bit of the pressure. i didnt realize the canucks have never missed the playoffs 5 years in a row so it would be a terrible look if he set the new record for playoff drought so miller happned

There's a few not so speedy players still. Have to play the game right.
