I like the Brassard sign for a year if it's done. He is a solid 3C that can play up or even PP. 1 year deal is a "show me" sign. Have a few of those on this team including JHS. It's a good idea to motivate these guys.. kind of like Lehner last year. go show everyone you are worth more.

Yeah he's supposed to be a high-skill, goal scoring winger. Will he be? Maybe. By his own account, he didn't like the schedule that NCAA teams play. Why he decided to play NCAA knowing that they only play twice a week? No clue. But he did well in a real small sample size in the AHL and, this is purely my own speculation/opinion, I think he’ll thrive playing/practicing on a pro schedule. I think he’s kind of an idiot and that school was probably a bad choice for him. - eichiefs9
Yeah not saying he won’t put it together hopefully he does BUT a couple people on here we’re saying he was going to launch shots on the pp from the dot just like Ovechkin so yeah that did happen. I remember I got blasted for being pushed we used both picks instead of trading at least one for immediate help. You were whacking it for pages on them both being can’t misses and how did they drop to us like you always do 😂😂😂

I am pretty sure one of the NHL network guys compared him to OV.. .They were pretty high on him on Draft night. Called him the best shooter in the draft.

They said that night before he was drafted when the Rangers and others had not picked he had an "Ovechkin" type shot and he models his game after OV. Big, Strong, huge shot...etc. .. I am just saying the Capt didn't just pull that out of the air.

Also if you mention setting up a guy on the PP like the way Ovi does that means you think he is as good as Ovi as well
