2 seasons after this one Rielly's deal ends. He currently makes 5M and will possibly command 8-10M/AAV at that point. Along with Anderson the year before who will probably get 8-9M also. They wont be able to keep all these players. Better pray Nylander turns it around so he'll be tradeable. Another 30 ish point season makes his deal near impossible to move Id think. |

Reports are accurate the Marner camp has had discussions with Zurich. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him go there to train in early Sept. Dubas and Ferris met last week. Positive talks, but no progress.
Marner could pay the insurance premium and go to Leafs camp without a contract. What a circus that would be. Trade interest will grow as well as the days go by.

Nylander will be one of the best value contracts on the Leafs.
The best part is we won't have to look through poop to find the people whining about him this summer. The same people have been whining every blog. - Santo_44
Nylander will have a good year and will be traded this summer. We need cap space for the blueline and his contract is pretty much the only way we can make this happen. Also we have many very good wingers. And the best winger in the NHL. |

Is it just me or is Ferris a bad agent?
Seems like he plays hardball and it gets him no where further than other players except drama and missed playing time. |

Is this supposed to scare Dubas ?
If he wants to pull the Zurich talk out then maybe it’s time for Dubas to bring out the CBJ talk. |

yeah..he seems to go to great lengths to not much benefit overall
4. Have the team inevitably call your bluff after one final boardroom stand, and proceed to sign your client to what is ultimately an underwhelming dollar figure when accounting for the path which led you here. |

He could get himself traded. It’s a real possibility only to likely get the same amount that the Leafs are offering on another team.
I really hope Dubas starts some trade rumours...even if he has no intention to trade him it’s time to put a scare in his camp. |

Obviously with a grand total of zero time acting as anyone's agent, I'm not qualified . . . but doing the same thing over and over and over again and being shut down over and over and over again, just seems like you're not sure how to do your job. Someone told you how to do one thing, and goddamnit that's what you're going to do.

I’d talk to CBJ about Werenski+
He’s a pretty good buddy of Matthews.
But yes, that would put fear in anyone’s eyes |

The Leafs' roster was soft with Kadri. Now it's the softest in the League. No chance of getting through 4 rounds of Playoff hockey with it as currently constructed. Dubas failed to maximize the assets he had available when he took over for Lou. Built a band with two lead singers but no bass or drums. They'll be fun to watch though, lots of regular season success ahead. |
