Very well said, I agree on all points. I think people are giving NJ way more credit, Subban needs to have a bounce back year. Hischier needs to turn the corner, Hughes needs to show he belongs in the NHL immediately. Butcher needs to continue to develop, and outside of an injury proned Schneider, they have McKenzie Blackwood and he is very early in his development. He didn't look out of place necessarily last year, but he still has only 10 NHL games under his belt, who knows with him. If he doesn't pan out and Schneider still isn't what he used to be, they will be in trouble. Their defense isn't what it used to be, neither is their system. I understand they got better from last year but that is all relative, they sucked last year, a small improvement is still "better."

NJD scare me. Hughes, Hischler, Hall, Subban. That's no patsy. The Simmonds pick up was a good one for them but talk about a guy who needs a turn-around? His agent wanted 7 and 7 (not the drink) from the Flyers 1 and 5 is something very different.
