I think there's a better chance of Nylander being a 30G/80P guy over a full season. General rule of thumb is forwards usually have their breakout year around year 4.
Hypothetically, if those turn out to be Nylander numbers you have a super Phil Kessel comparison. Having Nylander at 1.1 Million less than Kessel on a deal he signed 5 years later is a pretty good deal. - MrBen
He's half a mill less than Kessel and Kessel is far superior. |

I have to call them “the yellow tees”?
I do like wrath though - Garnie
"Forward tees."
I'm actually a fan of dropping the term "ladies tees" because there's a large portion of male duffers who really should be hitting from there, instead of slowing down the entire course because they are afraid people will find out they have small Johnsons if they don't golf from the whites or blues or golds. |

I play the blues because my game doesn't suffer until I get around the green, still, call me a low 90s guy |

Meh, change it for the new generation sure. Although when the new generations have to start buying houses no one will have the money to play golf anyways...way too expensive of a sport.
But if regular golfers still want to call it "ladies tees" I don't see the problem in it. |

both Kessel and Nylander are 60'ish point player at age 21
so lets see what Willie can do agre 23-31 like Kessel
also why are you saying half a mil less?
Cap is 6.9
Real $$ is 7mil for Phil and 9 for Nylander

I was never really a golfer (at most, I played a dozen times a year - and never broke 90).
I pretty much quit 10 years ago when I started running again.
Anyhoo, about 5 years ago, we were in PEI, and my wife and I went out golfing. Now keep in mind, I hadn't golfed at all in about 2-3 years, so I was obviously rusty.
They didn't pair us up with anyone, so it was just me and the Mrs. She doesn't want to keep having to wait at the whites, then go up to the reds, so she asks me to golf from the reds (with her).
I figure what the hell, I'm terrible, I'll do it.
I have to say, it made the round much more enjoyable. My tee shots were all landing in the areas where the hole was designed for them to land - giving me much better 2nd shots into greens.
I think I've golfed 9 holes in the last 3-4 years, but if I was to go out this summer, unless it was a municipal course, I'd go from the reds. If I'm paying the money, I want it to be enjoyable. |

I thought 20/21 year olds who get 60 points always just stay at 60 points their entire career and never get better. |

Easy to lay blame. It is a team sport. Hindsight is also 20/20. - bixll
It is a team game and the coach has to utilize the players in the proper way, by not playing Marleau in the last ten minutes of a game down 2 goals. |

The problem was making the trade for Cody Ceci. I'm sure other teams would have been willing to take Zaitsev. It's clear that the Leafs wanted Ceci.
I've heard that both sides were 500K apart. Pay him 11M for 8 years and move on with it. - RedRevenge

Good for you, I don't play much but my woods and long irons don't suffer much rust, anything that's less than a full swing on a PW starts to get dicey for me though. I still enjoy playing the blues, get to see more of the course that way. |

I'm the exact opposite - I can always putt, but the rest of the game dies if I don't play regularly.
My clubs are now probably 20 years old, and it's now a catch-22: I don't play enough to justify buying new clubs, and I don't want to play without new clubs... |

I'm not actually kidding.
I golfed Clovelly about 15 years ago.
It was a nice, warm day in June. I was in the pro shop just before tee-off, and they had a pullover jacket on the bargain rack. What the hell, bought it, stuffed it in the bag.
It was me and a buddy (we were in St. John's at a conference). They matched us up with a local.
3rd hole (iirc) is a par 3. The local guy puts it on the green, and a fox runs on, grabs the ball and runs off (he dropped it about 20 yards off the green). Me and my buddy are laughing - the local guy says something to the effect of "nature comes into play here often."
So while we are out on the course, the temperature probably drops about 15 degrees Celsius. If I hadn't bought the jacket, I probably would have died.
Near the end of the round (let's say hole 16), we putt out, start walking towards 17th tee. Local guy says (with a sense of urgency), "Drop your bags and follow me!"
We comply. He herds us into a lump of trees. We look back, and there is a moose running down the 16th fairway.
It's the most memorable round of golf I've ever played. - Atomic Wedgie
Lol....You saw more wild-life and had freakier weather in one round than I experience in a whole golf season.
|Yes. Clovelly (The East end of the city) is quite cooler, and temps can drop in a hurry. I golf there regularly but have yet to see a moose there. (Although seen them many times around the city here, so not surprising.)
Sounds like a fun round. Memorable indeed!!!

I honestly don't remember, so I'm just going to go ahead and guess somewhere between 100-110.
A few days later I did Pippy Park - not often you can say you saw whales and icebergs during a round of golf!!!! |

Cause he signed a contract at 7.5 for six years, if you say cap hit than he's actually 100 thousand more cause Kessels cap hit in Pittsburg is 6.8. |
