I used to work with a guy who would buy used triathlon bikes off of Kijiji. He'd target high income areas in Toronto like Rosedale and Forest Hill, because he knew that there were 50-year-old weekend warriors who just had to have the new bike every year.

Because hey, nothing like dropping $12,000 on a bike if it can lower your Ironman time from 16:21:04 to 16:08:33 - amirite??!?!?!

I knew someone that would do that with kitchens.

He would buy high end kitchens and drop them into rental properties because he would drive up to Oakville and buy $70000 kitchens for $5000. They would come with appliances and counter tops. It was insane.

People in custom houses didn’t like their kitchens after 4-5 years so they would sell them and redo them.

I still hit a Taylor Made r7 with a diamana stiff and I love it. Wouldn't buy a new Driver unless the shaft starts to go.

When I do buy a new one though, I'll likely splurge because sometimes it's nice to treat yourself.

Indeed they did. Some people would rather continue watching him waste his career as a 4th liner on the Leafs.

As much as I liked Brown, seemed like a decent guy who wouldn't sulk and bring negativity to the dressing room, and a local boy. But I'd rather see him get a fresh start with a new team, he's deserving of that. He will get a much bigger role with the Sens.

brown could have had a bigger role in toronto this season if they kept him and made the right move, which was to trade nylander.

I'd say 8 million AAV at the max and even that seems high for a 3 year term.

The fact that the leafs gave Ceci 4.5M ,but refuse to pay Marner is comical.

Why was Ceci payed 4.5M? He's terrible. Look at his season in OTT. Pay him 3M, and all of a sudden you have enough to pay Marner. Lock Marner up to max contract and be in solid position.

Instead, the Leafs are playing hard ball with their best player. Creating bad blood on both sides.

matthews is the leafs best player, that was established 3 years ago when he was drafted and has been reinforced for the last 3 years and for the future 5 years for which he signed. marner is 2nd banana in toronto, he's been told that over and over again. if he doesn't like it, show him the door.
