so the Leafs never beat Vancouver in the playoffs - Symba007
Arenas and St. Pats are the Leafs.
Perhaps you are confusing them with the Toronto Blue Shirts? |

It's just entertainment bud. Look elsewhere for enrichment in your life if you're just on here to slag the Leafs. - gravyface
I'll be a fan however I want thank you. I am a fan of the Leafs and therefore critical of my team because I want them to do better. I love how passionate you guys are about other fans and wanting to dictate how they should be as fans. These boards would sure be awesome if everyone thought the same, just a big circle jerk. |

I used to work with a guy who would buy used triathlon bikes off of Kijiji. He'd target high income areas in Toronto like Rosedale and Forest Hill, because he knew that there were 50-year-old weekend warriors who just had to have the new bike every year.
Because hey, nothing like dropping $12,000 on a bike if it can lower your Ironman time from 16:21:04 to 16:08:33 - amirite??!?!?! - Atomic Wedgie

brown could have had a bigger role in toronto this season if they kept him and made the right move, which was to trade nylander. - LeafnsNxt2Godlyns
Brown is someone you can replace in the bargain bin on free agent day.
Nylander (albeit poop year) is someone who is a core piece.
I would never trade nylander to save brown on this team. |

Connor Brown is impossible to hate but he's a 3rd or 4th liner for life. |

I would if it meant 5 more million in cap space. |

Not possible.
The Leafs can't afford the $3.5 million cap hit for Ceci to play in the minors.
Not possible at all. - Atomic Wedgie
what? they count ahl players salaries on the cap now? |

dubas trading kadri and connor brown were mistakes, they were cap friendly good players. nylander should have been the one to go. - LeafnsNxt2Godlyns
Kadri 29 and skating stinky. Gotta cut bait and move on ASAP |

when you are up against the cap, you need to keep the best value player for their dollar. i would argue that kadri and brown are more valuable than their cap hits than nylander is to his. |

has legitimate 2nd line potential, he can't become that if he is forced to the 4th line like he was in toronto. |

Which is what we will see in Ottawa. I think he will be in the 20/50 range if that's the case, along with killing penalties and playing a style conducive to playoff hockey. |

I believe he has hands of stone. Not someone with a high end skill level. He’s a grinder, and those players you love but you can find them on the open market every year.
I like brown I’m just saying they aren’t comparable skill levels. |

Again, not saying he is a bad player just not the caliber of nylander.
Komarov scores 19 goals and leafs let him walk.
You can find those types of players in free agency. You don’t find a nylander very often. |

They've only played once which is quite surprising as they've both been powerhouse franchises for the past 50 years. |
