not really - LeafnsNxt2Godlyns
I find it hard to believe you’ve seen players better than Marner that haven’t even gotten a crack in the NHL. |
|
|
|
No it wasn’t. Brown’s final season was 2013-2014 and McDavid’s was 2014-2015.

Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt
I was wrong a bit as well. McDavid did miss some time in Browns 128pt season. He was still in his final year though, where you usually see the overages dominate. St least they should IMO. |

Brown GP 68, 45 G, 83 A 128 P
McDavid got injured more than once in junior. - aminnes
Wasn't Brown like 42 at that point? I love Brown but he's not comparable to Nylander. Not even close to unfortunately. Plus Nylander is far more gorgeous which apparently is all we care about.

Can you name one of these players? I think it’s hard to believe a player better than someone, who just put up 94pts in the NHL at the age of 21, hasn’t gotten a fair shake in the NHL. |

I don't think Brown is as good offensively as Nylander, but I don't think he's that far off either. And he brings other attributes to the table. If given more opportunity he will show more offence. But it's also not all about this, I'd take less offence and the 5 million in extra money to ad depth to a weak area, because as we saw, even without Nylander, the Leafs can score. |

peter, hello.
you really should have traded for brown. you'd probably still have your job in Edmonton if you did! |

Nylander is an elite talent, he always has been.
Maybe as he becomes a man he'll play in the dirty areas more effectively. |

look at the era that marner is playing in. if this were pre 2005 mitch marner probably would not have even made the nhl. he probably would have been simon gamache. |

Think how much more we could get in a trade (and more cap space) trading Greedy Mitch |

This I don't agree with. A good talent? A second line winger? Yes. But not elite. |

True. Accept he's the most talented winger. You keep the most talented and move on from the lesser thans if the cap demands it. |

Then he'll fit right in with all the other tough power forwards and hard hitting dman the Leafs have.
Makes me laugh when people call Nylander soft like he sticks out like a sore thumb |
