you have had to be pretty dumb to not know that taking punches and hits to the head was bad for your brain. they were taking the risk knowing what the financial rewards were for doing it. that's why i call bullpoop on players not knowing. you knew, you just turned a blind eye to it for the money, then pretended like you didn't know it was bad for more money when your career was over. are people really this naive?

what do these statements have to do with anything? like i said, if back in the day you didn't know smashing your head around could damage your brain you had to be a special kind of dumb. guys just shrugged their shoulders and kept playing looking for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, some got it, some didn't. they took the risks looking for the rewards just like many other guys would have done because that's life in general.

Boxers still boxed in the 20's, 30's, and 40's even though dudes had fully been killed in the ring. Someone is going to get killed in a UFC fight at some point.

Guys still worked the coal mines even though black lung was well known. Guys still do welding as a trade even though they know full well more than 15 years and you start taking a huge risk on your health, etc.
