If DeAngelo is still here and Fox makes the team, powerplay time on the right side is going to be hard to come by
Trouba should definitely be on the top penalty killing tandem, so they may limit his PP time - jimbro83
I get the logic but you gotta think they are going to be playing their new top D-Man on the PP quite a bit, at least to start. |

Pretty much, Poti 2.0 - JRR1285

I just think it's unrealistic too to expect Fox to just jump in and be good on the power play right out of the chute. I could see himself working his way there, maybe even by the all star break.
I think if a rookie makes it on the power play as a defender game one, it'll be Rykov.

You put a huge fear in my head with that statement. The parallels are eerie. Poti in a vacuum obviously never lived up to his billing, but wasn't quite as bad as people remember here, but you don't earn big contracts by just being solid. My fear with Trouba is that he will be solid, but not live up to being an 8 million dollar dman in terms of offense, and the fans will start booing him.

Having Miller and Fox is gonna be like the Predators back when they had Suter and Weber. No way to keep both. |

I know I'm being unrealistic but I am trying to be a positive person this season, not a pessimistic (frank) like usual. That will all change about 3 games in when they've gone 0-1-2 to start. |

Personally, and I willingly admit that I (obviously) don't follow Rangers prospects as closely as the Isles ones, I think Miller will need some time, and I don't mean that as a knock.
I think he's got a ton of raw talent, which is great, but usually guys like that will take awhile to develop. If I recall wasn't he a forward converted to defense? I would think that he'll probably have some growing pains on the defensive side of things. Seems like he's got the skill and size to be solid offensively though. |

Yeah, I don't disagree with any of this. Burns made the same conversion as a youth (he was a forward which is why the Sharks made him a forward for a time in the first place) and it really took him several seasons to really become a great defender. If someone who is on a hall of fame path struggles with it, there is going to be growing pains with Miller without question. |

Yeah I agree. Its just that his ceiling is so high. If he puts it all together I think he could be special.
Technically he was a linebacker converted to forward converted to defense |

I wish she was built like a linebacker. She kind of is the whole defensive line
Think Duncan in net in the geico commercial |
