I know there are many different to look at it, but I’m disappointed in Marner. I’m not a Leafs fan as I grew up in a house (in Toronto) that cheered for the Wings (dad big Howe fan) and Stevie Y. I could care less for the Leafs. I’m disappointed that I’m seeing a kid argue for 8 million more (obviously not exact number) when he has been offered 84 million. Just doesn’t sit well. Especially when you look at the hometown thing, the endorsements, etc. Would he not make that cash up by being a Leaf?

Puljujavari is a Cancer like no other kind! Nobody wants to play Hockey with this kid because he is such a Richard!!! He has nobody to blame but himself, I sure hope the NYR stay the hell away from that mess and any other prospects of the Oilers. Take a first and a third and be done!

I also noted Tampa signing Patrick Maroon. Not reported here though. Too bad Tampa signed him to an actual NHL contract. They should have signed him to a PTO as a scare tactic to get Point to sign. But a real contract isn't scary at all. Oh well, I'm sure Yzerman has a plan here.

A young David Poile lacked focus when he was running around the Spectrum. However old David Poile has great Jedi like focus with the ability to fleece (force?) any GM at any given time.

I heard the Sabres were interested in Risto for Mantha.

But they forgot who the Wings GM was and called Ken Holland by mistake. They got to chatting and talked about RNH. But Holland didn't want Risto and asked if Buffalo could do an offer sheet sign and trade for Point. So Oilers get Point and Sabres get RNH + 1st.

Buffalo called Yzerman to talk about Point. Yzerman said he was busy doing Red Wings stuff, but he'd be in the Tampa office tomorrow to discuss further.
