Ek, seriously....the TSN article says nothing of Rantanen playing in Norway this year. He's skating. Time for me to build a site and just scan the web looking for stories to post. |

More than likely additional pieces, but main parts of deal being:
Mitch -for- Mikko
Could work. Both young, skilled, real good players.
For Colorado - they get the better player
For Leafs - they get a really good player (not that far off from Marner) and probably sign him at a price that makes sense for their situation. Might be that little bit less than what Marner is arguing about.
I know there are many different to look at it, but I’m disappointed in Marner. I’m not a Leafs fan as I grew up in a house (in Toronto) that cheered for the Wings (dad big Howe fan) and Stevie Y. I could care less for the Leafs. I’m disappointed that I’m seeing a kid argue for 8 million more (obviously not exact number) when he has been offered 84 million. Just doesn’t sit well. Especially when you look at the hometown thing, the endorsements, etc. Would he not make that cash up by being a Leaf? |

Keith and Seabrook are unmovable.
Saad seems like the obvious target, if this is true. - RedRevenge
Florida is looking to shore up its defense, it's not out of the realm Keith or Seabrook, remember they love coach Q and admired talon.
That NMC is easy to waive .
Chicago is loaded up on defenseman both current roster and farm system |

oh, it's even better than that. you also get to make poop up that doesn't even make any sense and then never understand before the ridicule, during the ridicule, or after the ridicule why the rumor can't work for the teams, the player, the salary cap, or reality.
then without a clue or any shame you come back the next day and do the exact same thing. |

Puljujavari is a Cancer like no other kind! Nobody wants to play Hockey with this kid because he is such a Richard!!! He has nobody to blame but himself, I sure hope the NYR stay the hell away from that mess and any other prospects of the Oilers. Take a first and a third and be done! |

I also noted Tampa signing Patrick Maroon. Not reported here though. Too bad Tampa signed him to an actual NHL contract. They should have signed him to a PTO as a scare tactic to get Point to sign. But a real contract isn't scary at all. Oh well, I'm sure Yzerman has a plan here. - uofcguy

GMs are just starting to become more "focused" now. The RFA War is coming. League wide bedlam is on the horizon. Or in Ek's case Verizon. He's burning up the phone lines. Stay tuned... - gergeswillems
David Poile is running around the arena giving out Killer Offersheets and GMs are NOT OK with it. |

A young David Poile lacked focus when he was running around the Spectrum. However old David Poile has great Jedi like focus with the ability to fleece (force?) any GM at any given time.

I heard the Sabres were interested in Risto for Mantha.
But they forgot who the Wings GM was and called Ken Holland by mistake. They got to chatting and talked about RNH. But Holland didn't want Risto and asked if Buffalo could do an offer sheet sign and trade for Point. So Oilers get Point and Sabres get RNH + 1st.
Buffalo called Yzerman to talk about Point. Yzerman said he was busy doing Red Wings stuff, but he'd be in the Tampa office tomorrow to discuss further.
More to come after Yzerman lands in Tampa... - uofcguy
Buffalo also called Paul Fenton re: Zucker....but his work cell is off and mailbox is full. |

I doubt anyone in the Avs FO believes little Mitchie is better than Mikko. As a fan I'll take Mikko's higher points per game and 5 additional goals.

Ek, if the Oilers like ADA, why don't they just offer sheet him? That's actually the kind of offer sheet that might work. NYR has no cap flexibility. If someone comes along and signs ADA for $2-3M then they probably can't match. See what your sources have to say about that possibility. |
