So you are assuming the Coyotees stay in Arizona nd start winning? Because we both know Leafs being JT's home town team was only a part of it. It gave him a chance to win, they had an amazing young core. If Leafs sucked, he never ever signs with the Leafs.

And BTW, if the Leafs offer Matthews the biggest contract in history the year prior he turns it down? Doubt it

Dubas is too smart to offer that old broken down horse a big 8 year payday.

100% correct.

If they don't win, he's gone.

And even if they do, he still might leave.

Buy a house next door to Kawhi too.

Winning is so important to him yet it becomes a non factor in Coyotees discussions.

Beer is so damn expensive in the great white north

When we go to the states we don’t even have to have a budget set for booze because it’s so damn cheap. Buying pop (soda) and beer there hardly a difference in price.

He'll be younger than Tavares when he signs that deal. And I am not convinced 8 year deals will exist by then.

A lot of if’s

He may leave he may not, who cares at this point. Just hope he can play 75 games this year and help us win a round.

Ugh, tell me about it.

Sucks being on vacation somewhere in the States then coming back home and spending an arm and a leg on a case of beer

I'm too worried about the Travis Dermott offersheets next July to think about 5 years ahead.

It's not just the Coyotes, could be California too.

And the Coyotes might suck today but they might not in 5 years.

Look at where the Leafs were in 2013 compared to when Tavares signed in 2018.

People said that line in 1996.

Coyotees issue is they have to start making $$$$. Leafs became strong in part because of how rich they are. They bought the best front office staff, scouting, analytics, ate 10s of millions on the marlies, ETC.

I didn’t see anything wrong with it, it’s the media and he states it probably wouldn’t happen, but it could. 🤷🏻‍♂️

1 year younger I think, still old and won’t be worth what he’ll be getting offered as a UFA.

I think I read that on the web this summer, a lot.

Well, Kypreos wasn't actually wrong on that one.

I don't think it's coincidence that the Leafs got the Matthews deal done prior to July 1st.

Marner isn't worth 4 1st rounders.

Matthews just might be.

We became strong because we drafted #1 #4 #5 #7 all in a few years

People said that about the Leafs in 2006. 1996. 1986. 1976. 1966 (they were right).

Coyotes will make money when they start winning or get a new arena in a new location.

But at the end of the day, the Coyotes always have to spend at least 50-60 million to get to the cap floor. They'll break the bank for Matthews if they get the chance, especially if the rest of their team is on ELC. And once they start winning, they'll make much more money than today.

You can't say he was right just because Matthews signed. And all the media did think Mitch was worth 4 1sts, especially everyone on Sportsnet

Coyotes have a new owner.

They might be able to turn it around, although I suspect he's more interested in moving the team.

They need a new arena, and getting Arizona taxpayers to foot the bill is no longer an option.

Werenski apparently wants a 3 year 15 million dollar deal....

If Marner keeps asking for 11 Mil would we be happy with getting Werenski and Anderson for him?

It's the thing I don't get about Cherry haterz - why do you need to take the guy seriously?

Listen to him ramble on like an old man for seven minutes. Agree, disagree, laugh, admire his sartorial style.

He's harmless.

Love creemore but haven’t tried lot 9.
- bryant

Lot 9 is an easy drinking pilsner, but just happens to be my favourite of all the beers that taste roughly the same ie. steamwhistle, moosehead, sleeman, etc.
