It's a little frustrating that their is an advantage for some teams because of the financial environment, but the teams that are pouring the most money in the league not only get nothing for it, but are also the disadvanted teams in that regard.

Matthews clearly doesn’t like Babcock and it’s pretty obvious that he doesn’t like the media very much. The kid is not Canadian and oh, grew up in the DESERT. Where he spends his entire summer. I think the Leafs have used their financial advantage just fine.

They have poured money into their AHL and ECHL teams. They have a development program down there that teams just can’t compete with at all. And it has showed with players like Trevor Moore and Marchment.

They constantly take advantage of LTIR.

And I am pretty sure their cap advisor Pirdham makes more money than the Carolina GM

Aside from a few individuals, I'd say most hockey player don't particularely enjoy the media in their day-to-day lives.
