Couldn't say, I've had a lot of Whataburgers, but never just the regular burger. Specialty burgers every time.

So housleys replacement was back filled and better than housley?
Although housley was the head coach, Steve Smith the defensive coach ( for just 1 of the 2 years housley was here) is to blame?
Now krueger is gonna let him run the systems with no input, because hes not an x/o"s coach
Housley shouldn't be blamed for not coaching or implementing a system where forwards help on d?
This is on phail, you'll see. He was terrible.
So you want them to rehire him to run the d too? - Boss34
You have taken several liberties with what I wrote to formulate your take.
Here you go...
So housleys replacement was back filled and better than housley? Apparently yes, as good as t Phil would be the case here
Although housley was the head coach, Steve Smith the defensive coach ( for just 1 of the 2 years housley was here) is to blame? So you are absolving Smith, the Defensive Coach, of all responsibility? Sounds like it to me. IMO, it was Phil's system and Smith did a piss poor job of implementing it...as THAT was HIS responsibility. I'll hold them both accountable, and in doing so, will keep an open mind with Smith relative to this season. I'm curious because he had a good track record in Carolina, yet he was part of the problem with the Sabres last year. It will be interesting to see what happens.
Now krueger is gonna let him run the systems with no input, because hes not an x/o"s coach. No, not what I said. I think Krueger sets the strategy of the type of team and therefore the high level systems. Then his AC's take that strategy and design the specific tactics to be used...man/zone/hybrid.
Housley shouldn't be blamed for not coaching or implementing a system where forwards help on d? How do you know this to be fact? Could it be that the players who failed under another coaching staff where/are the main culprits here? Nearly every system I know of requires a 5 man defensive unit. Individual responsibilities vary, surely, but the concept of every man having a responsibility is pretty standard. Should we put the blame solely on coaches? When do the players themselves become accountable? Pretty interesting that you boy Jack defended Housley days /week before he was fired saying (Paraphrasing here) "It isn't Phil's fault, we the players are responsible for what happens on the ice". I think you may agree he would know more what the issues are.
This is on phail, you'll see. He was terrible. Not defending Phil at all. I just don't put 100% blame on him and absolve everyone else, especially the guys who skate for a living, but also the guys responsible for implementing it.
So you want them to rehire him to run the d too? No, once again I didn't say that, jor allude to it. but he did get hired elsewhere...I think Arizona but could be wrong. He gets credit for Nashville and takes blame for Buffalo. |
