I know, I know, you're going to tell me that if we do a deep dive, and calculate the constituent statistics that are compared in determining Expected goal %, Shot differential, and Zone exits/entries etc, we'll find that the team that performs best in those measurements wins somewhere between 87 and 93% of the time.

But, the team that scores more goals wins somewhere around 100% of the time.

- Der Kaiser

I’ve already explained my opinion on the matter.

Of course I want wins, of course that’s the ultimate goal

When it comes to peoples jobs, or the direction the team is heading in, or roster decisions, it shouldn’t be the sole factor.

I guess Tampa should have “held someone accountable” or made significant changes because they won exactly 0 playoff games this year.

Or they just realized that if they played that series 100 times over they probably win it 95 times.

If the Sabres are truly bad. It’s a problem. And things need to be changed

If the Sabres look like a good team, but goaltending, or a run of bad shooting holds them back, then I’m not firing people based on arbitrary point totals, and I’m continuing to build.

In honour of the 4-0 worldbeater bills:

1. Which will be higher? John Brown's reception total or Rasmus Dahlin's point total?

2. Tredavious White's INT total or Johan Larsson's goals?

3. Josh Allen TD passes or Risto's minus rating?

4. Bills total offense ranking vs Sabres powerplay ranking?

5. Sobotka goals or Bills defensive safeties?

6. Skinner goals or Bills team touchdowns?

7. Number of wraparound goals let in by the sabres or the amount of times Bill Belichick refers to the bills as a "dangerous team" in his press conferences before their matchups.

This is pretty good. All of them could be actual props. Number 3 is my favorite.

I’m confident one of two things will happen. Either he’s gone for a Center or a sniper, or he puts in a different kind of season that makes people rethink the criticism.

I try to drum up enthusiasm for repeated Risto debates, but I just dont have the same juice as I did for the great hockey god flame wars.

What a crop of poop this is. Make my words, they will score 89 this season. We need to nip comets like yours right in the butt. I just don't understand why you can't see the trees in the forest.

Jokes are fine about going 4-0 in the preseason. What I think it might show, though, is the depth that Beane has accumulated. Vanilla game plans aside, it kind of stacks up to, who's second team is better, who's third team is better.

Individually speaking, it's encouraging to see our depth players beat other team's depth. If for the sole reason of verifying Beane's ability to roster churn and find quality depth.

The preseason doesn't mean anything to me, but the McBeane combo has a knack for erasing depressing Bills stats - playoff drought, 4-0 preseason. I find McDermott annoying to listen to, but his guys seem to love him. Now get a better punter

I couldn't (could) care less about the 4-0. Think it's nice for the depth players, though. Shows, ya know, we actually have some.
