The preseason doesn't mean anything to me, but the McBeane combo has a knack for erasing depressing Bills stats - playoff drought, 4-0 preseason. I find McDermott annoying to listen to, but his guys seem to love him. Now get a better punter
- jcragcrumple

I hate how football people laugh at punters and kickers like they don't matter. NFL coaches are in love with punting in almost every situation, you would think they might realize the guy plays a bigger role than the fourth string RB.

And kicker...There is only two ways to score points on offense. One requires 11 guys to successfully execute 5-8 plays without making a mistake to get in the endzone. The other one requires some out of shape white guy to kick the ball between two posts. If you are bad at the first method, maybe you could invest a tiny amount of effort into being good at the second.

Between Haushka's broken back and whatever disaster they have going on at punter, I bet we lose at least one game to special teams. Which is too bad, because they're probably going to be good enough for that game to matter.

What a crop of poop this is. Make my words, they will score 89 this season. We need to nip comets like yours right in the butt. I just don't understand why you can't see the trees in the forest.

It's because I'm far-sighted.

It definitely matters. The 2010 Chargers had the No. 1 offense and the No. 1 defense and missed the playoffs because their special teams was so horrible. I think Hauscha will be fine, personally. They need to do something about the punter though. I expect they will tomorrow

I like their projections. I hope that's how it ends up with no trades. Love that they both picked Duke Williams to make it on the 53, guy can battle for the ball.

In honour of the 4-0 worldbeater bills:

1. Which will be higher? John Brown's reception total or Rasmus Dahlin's point total?

2. Tredavious White's INT total or Johan Larsson's goals?

3. Josh Allen TD passes or Risto's minus rating?

4. Bills total offense ranking vs Sabres powerplay ranking?

5. Sobotka goals or Bills defensive safeties?

6. Skinner goals or Bills team touchdowns?

7. Number of wraparound goals let in by the sabres or the amount of times Bill Belichick refers to the bills as a "dangerous team" in his press conferences before their matchups.

"Fairburn: Joe, you know what I always say: the best ability is availability. That’s why I’m leaning toward Yeldon for that running back spot over Perry, who has been injured. Perry is an ace on special teams but offers little as a running back. Yeldon is a strong option on pass-catching downs and has proven that this preseason. I have no issue with them keeping four running backs, especially when you consider the age of McCoy and Gore. Depth is necessary there.

Buscaglia: I think you’re right on the four running backs part of it. Yeldon has also improved drastically on special teams as the summer has gone on. Near the beginning of camp, I asked special teams coordinator Heath Farwell about the difficulty of getting veteran skill players and former starters to buy into special teams at this level. He said he went back through Yeldon’s entire pro career, and he hadn’t taken a single snap in any phase of special teams. So, it’s all been very new to him. He’s been working into the first unit all over the place, which is the final thing the Bills needed to see from him to justify keeping him. Yeldon also did not suit up for the final preseason game, which usually indicates a player’s good standing with the team. Unless they try to trade him, I think Yeldon is on the team."

Think I might be in trouble here. Damn injuries, and they've been implementing special teams to Yeldon, and apparently he's been doing it well.

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence

Probably for the best, I don't want him to have a chance to impress and make the team. Keep that kid away from the club for a year and a half.

I'm ready to pay up, but I was still (probably) right about the team keeping the top 3 guys AND DiMarco.
