Because even smart GM's can get duped. Casey got a cup of coffee at the end of the year and he looked NHL ready to all of us. Now I think everyone agrees he was too raw for last year.

Cozens is big and fast and skilled and he will stand out against guys his age. The sabres need forward help and I don't want them to even be tempted to fix a now problem with a tomorrow solution.

I agree he shouldn't be given anything based on the Sabres needs but I'd like to see the kid get an opportunity to prove he can make it, even just for a 9 game tryout.

Think there's still a chance Cozens plays in the tournament. I don't think the Sabres have medically evaluated him yet, might and probably will be done next week.
