I think/hope he steps into the lineup when Edler’s contract expires. Personally, he’s my 2nd fav Dman on that entire list.
- DrChristianTroy

I agree with you on him being rated way too low on this list. I have Woo rated above him. I know you value high end skill above all else, but there has to be some size on the backend. Hughes, Stetcher, and Rathbone? Thats skilled, but small.

Mine too. I think he will be pretty hyped once his NCAA season gets going.

Kesler was at Pacific Rim Hotel today. Wonder if he would be more accepted back for LE. At least he'd be on LTIR.
- NuckUp

The real question is, if we swap them and Kesler retires here, when is the jersey retirement ceremony?

A friend of mine and I were having a discussion last night. Will Myers be offered up in the E draft? Will he only be here for two years?

I think the NHL has learnt the hard way, don't build a Stanley Cup contender through the E draft like they did with Vegas. Benning did a good job of only offering up scraps for the last one so I wonder if most teams will follow the same pattern?

I think the names Canucks have on board will be Eriksson Beagle or Myers .

I actually think I understand where he is coming from and agree with most . I was just surprised to see how far Lockwood has fallen from grace.

A lot of it is probably the top collegiate talent turns pro before their senior year, and of those who finish college, there are typically only a couple guys (out of the 1000?) who make it to the NHL. He has his reasons for wanting to stay in school, so there is always a chance, but he would have a better chance if he was playing 80 whatever games of pro hockey in the AHL.

It will depend if Seattle wants an NHL player or a “prospect”. Canucks will have guys like Lind, for example, who won’t be exempt. Remember the whole Gaunce vs Sbisa drama?

Yup definitely. I guess it depends on whether Seattle wants to be competitive now or in 5 years.

I think it will depend more on what other players are available from other teams. Myers could be one of the six best defenders available in the draft, and they will need NHL players. Or maybe they find better NHL players from other teams, and decide Vancouver has better prospects for a year or two down the road. Either way, I doubt we lose much sleep over who gets plucked.

It was pretty easy for Van. They only really had scrapes to offer after they picked their 7 forwards 3 D and 1 goalie to protect.

I'm pretty sure there are a lot better players than Eriksson and Beagle they will want for forwards.

I agree I think the only name worth taking will be Myers and I am not complaining about it. I think two years of TM is just fine.

By that time Roussell and Ferland might be taken as well.

Obviously like last time if Van isn't giving up anything it's because team probably sucks. If they are this time, they will choose the best players to keep and hopefully JB doesn't make a stupid trade like Tallon or CLB GM.

I don't think Seattle will make a killing like Vegas . I think most GMs learnt .

I watched Midnight Express last night . Good film quality for a movie that was made 41 years ago.

Vegas success would be seriously hard to duplicate. Not really going to look back at what could have been but quite a few GM's made trades so Vegas couldn't take better more established players.

I think there are more than enough good players on each team, that are waiting for a couple extra minutes a game to improve.

Honestly it just sucks that they will be in Van's division. Why does the Pacific get stuck with two expansion teams!

Clowney to the Seahawks for... free?

Great scoop, although Clowney reportedly wanted Seattle and turned down other clubs.

Texans get 3rd round pick, LB Martin and PR Mingo.

Any word on the injury to Smith?

Houston fuked up, should have traded him sooner. Nevertheless Schneider is a true gunslinger when it comes to trades, it's beautiful to see the things he pulls off.

Clowney is one of the best in the league. An absolute steal.

JB should make a trip to Seattle and get some schooling.
