Great scoop, although Clowney reportedly wanted Seattle and turned down other clubs.
Texans get 3rd round pick, LB Martin and PR Mingo.
Any word on the injury to Smith? - Makita
If I’m the Texans I’d rather have contract year Clowney, then the highest comp pick when he leaves than lose him right before the season for 2 Seahawks cuts and a 3rd. Now the Hawks will get that comp pick after a year of hungry Clowney
Haven’t heard about Smith... Kind of hope a better option is available after cuts anyway. |

I think they'll do their best to sign him, he also has history with Duane Brown. |

Yeah, Houston’s management sucks.
No brainer for Seattle. They got a 1st for Clark and Clowney replaces him for nothing

Great scoop for Seattle, I thought Smith was playing quite well until his injury, I personally am not sold on Lynch at all.
See what Schneider pulls off next. |

Wilson is durable/young enough that Seattle can get away with having scrub backups for now, but eventually they'll need to draft a real QB to develop.
They could also do with Reid did in Philly and what Belichick does. Draft a QB next year and develop him even you already have a legit starter. Then if your starter is still good/healthy for the next 2-3 years, you trade away the backup QB for similar pick that you used to draft him in the first place, or sometimes an even higher pick. |

He might be done in the NFL at this point. |

Yeah, Lynch is absolute trash... but so is Smith IMO - zero instincts. I’d much rather have McGough back (cut by JAX) - smarter/great arm/can run. Doubt that happens, but there are definitely higher upside guys who’ll be working 9-5 jobs next week. |

Hope the weekend is going well!
New blog is up, with some thoughts on the CBA situation now that the NHL has elected not to re-open and an update on Brock Boeser's journey as his father works to recover from another serious health scare.
