Hey Stripes and Homer...
Between the three of us across Florida; Sarasota, Orlando and Jacksonville we have friggin Dorian coming our way, looks like late Tuesday.
The Weather Channel now saying that due to how slow it is moving, we stand to see 2 - 3 days of storming...rain and high winds...uggghhhh.
Best of luck to you both as right now who knows what path it takes. - IonSabres
The one good thing about the forward speed slowing down is it's giving time for the High north of it to ease off and let it sneak north. Latest update shows that may be what happens. If I heard correctly, hurricane force winds only extend out 30 miles from center, that may expand, though. I didn't hear a radius for the catastrophic winds near the eye. 50/60 miles is about the difference between just a very windy & rainy day and a totally devastating one. Hopefully it turns in time for the worst to stay offshore. Best wishes to all waiting in the cone. |

Surprising to me, especially if Ray Ray is cut as well.
Maybe they sneak William's on PT. |

Somebody who understands the motivation for this better than I please explain?? They’re confident in the young guy and want cap room? Why no trade? They took a 7th yesterday, they couldn’t get ANYTHING for shady? |

Correct
It would be smarter for a team like Houston to wait for him to get cut and sign him for $2 million |

Now here is a thought:
Go trade for Gordon or Zeke!
I know teams don't want to spend money on RBs anymore but wouldn't a great running game help Allen even more? |

This is not good.
From an article on The Athletic by Dom Luszczyszyn who does much of their predictive modeling.
"Is there ever going to be a light at the end of the dark tunnel in Buffalo? The Sabres have missed the playoffs in eight straight seasons and in that time frame have won just 230 of their 622 games — 23 fewer than Edmonton, the next worst team. ... the Sabres are in a league of their own. Not a single other team shares their standings pain. In fact, that miserable run transcends the NHL. No team in the NBA, the NFL or MLB has shared the same level of consistent futility as the Sabres have shown over the last seven seasons. ... No fan base deserves this level of suffering. It deserves hope. Sorry to say, it’s not getting it here as the 2019-20 season looks like more of the same. The Sabres have a 94 percent chance of extending their playoff-miss streak to nine seasons."
His model projects 80 pts., but goes on ...
"At this point, any major jump at all would be seen as a win, and that should be the goal for this season: 85 points or more. It might not lead to the playoffs, but it means progress with a potential path to the postseason in 2020-21."
I think that last paragraph is on point.
Are the playoffs a possibility, sure.
IMO, the probability of playoffs is low.
I'm focusing on seeing improved play from those expected to be a part of the 20-21 team.

They don't want to spend money on a rb because it is foolish. let's try not to do dumb things. |
