(Forwards)

Dave Keon (unbelievable stickhandling skills, tough without taking penalties and was generally the best all around player for four cups for Leafs - was a bit of a sourpuss though)

Frank Mahovlich - ( the big M, a beauty! - heavy shot, game changer) four cups with the Leafs and two more with the Habs

Red Kelly - great Red Wing d-man (6 time 1st team all-star) and 4 cups Became a centre with the Leafs and won four more cups - defended against Beliveau and is possibly the most under-rated Leaf ever.

(Defense)

Tim Horton - considered the toughest Leaf during his time, could score and defend played until his death at age 44. Was only 5'10" but played much bigger Unfortunately only known these days for fast food chain that offers dishwater called coffee and fat pills, was a great player.

Bobby Baun - not a scorer, but tough as nails

Goalie - Johnny Bower (own an original signed copy of Honky the Chrismas Goose)

Favourite present day player would be Matthews. The great thing is it's hard to pick. Tavares is probably still the best player on the team but that will change, maybe this season.

Good point, although Lanny was a significantly better/more important player than Courtnall - Kordic might be the worst player I remember playing for the Leafs. The absolute worst trade was probably Tom Kurvers for the pick that was Scott Nierdermayer.

Larry Murphy to Red Wings for future considerations. Leafs paid half of Murph's salary for rest of 97 and 98. He won 2 Cups to go with the 2 he won in Pittsburgh. I'll always be thankful to Mike Smith for that trade. ☺
